Kyle Larson is the First driver to lead 1,000 laps in a season in the Next Gen Era
That’s disgusting
and only 4 wins
I thought Elliott would’ve done that last year, but seems I was wrong
At first I thought that was surprising, but then I remembered all the races where he was up front all day and then junked
LARSON DUB WOOOOOO. Serious note, this race is the championship maker.
the 19 somehow finishing top 10 in the playoffs even after james small’s goofy ahh mid strategy is a more of a miracle than the ones found in encanto
A spot higher now the Blaneys been DQd
disturbingly agreeable
Am I the only one who remains relatively unimpressed James Small?
Lmao
James aSmalls needs to be fired. He has made stupid decisions all season long
I’m not gonna lie: I’m a little nervous for Byron after today. I know he’s good at Homestead. But I’m not sure about Martinsville ever since they changed the tire combination there.
Bryan won Martinsville last year so I’m not worried at all. Hamlin and truex are who you should be worried about cause of Bell and Reddick both could go on a tear and steal their spots.
He won the first Next Gen race there and ran well in the spring. If he points his way into Phoenix, I think it is a three way race there between him, Larson, and Hamlin maybe.
@Easy E Network I’m hoping for Larson and Byran with Bell and Reddick or truex. If that happens then Hendricks will get another championship
UPDATE: Ryan Blaney’s 6th place finish was just disqualified. NASCAR says the left front shock did not meet the specified length.
New Standings:
1. Larson
2. Byron +11
3. Hamlin +4
4. Truex +3
5. Bell -3
6. Reddick -15
7. Buescher -23
8. Blaney -56
Oh snap!!!
Oh NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Hate to see that. Maybe a win the next 2 weeks is possible.
“Playoff implications” Eric Estepp, 2020
Danggggggg
This a huge blow
That wasn’t even a gamble. That call had no shot of working. Loved Larson barely holding off Bell for the win. Good race but still need more horsepower, tire wear and less dirty air.
There is a big chance that larson can win the next two races because last year, he won miami, and he one martinsville this year
Could win the next 3 and make it 4 in a row plus a championship.
@Joshua Pittman He’s not winning the championship buddy.
@MrBootydaddy I wouldn’t be so sure
My predictions heading into this round were Larson, Byron, Hamlin, and Truex. So far, so good.
And I really loved this race! Christopher Bell and Kyle Larson have been racing each other on dirt and in NASCAR as competitors and friends. What a run for the 20, and what an absolute finish! To me, this race was the perfect send-off for PRN as they conclude their portion of the radio broadcast for the season.
Final rating of this race: 9 out of 10.
Mine were the same but replace Truex with Bell. I just don’t trust it. And the 19 proved me right. Bell gained 13 points on him. If that happens next week, Truex could be in must-win territory at Martinsville
@NoRandom2021, except Byron and Larson vs Hamlin and Bell maybe.
Larson and Bell also raced eachother clean. That was so refreshing to see.
As a Hendrick fan, I’m very happy that Larson won today! Now it’s time for Byron to get a win next week or at Martinsville or just get a spot on points
I’m just glad I get to see Larson at Martinsville without needing a win or worried about points
I’m not happy Larson won lol
@JeffWeselyan we get used to not being happy then buddy lol cuz he gonna keep winning
Larson redeems himself for last year! He gets to roll the dice tonight!
While I am disappointed that Bell didn’t win, I am happy for Larson, and it was a great race today.
The race was very groovy. Lead passes, tire strategies, mistakes, crashes and saves. Vegas is a fun track.
Vegas is a boring track like Miami is gonna be next week. I really think Vegas needs to reconfigure their track like Atlanta did to make it more interesting like they did a few years ago to make it like Atlanta.
@MrBootydaddyIt’s hit or miss. The past few years, there has been some pretty good races and also some really boring ones. Overall it’s a fun track, especially with the current gen car.
@J J It’s more miss than hit IMO. This weekend was only somewhat interesting for two reasons… tire problems and the finish. Without those tires issues bringing in all the cautions, it would have gone green most of the time.
@MrBootydaddy Super boring. I usually skip the spring race. This was race was no different, aside from a bunch of tire issues.
Man, wish Bell had one more lap, and/or if he coulda cleared Keso a bit faster. Good showing for him today. I feel like the next round of “greats” are gonna involve the dirt boys of Reddick, Bell, and Larson.
Does Reddick come from dirt racing? I thought he was an asphalt guy just like Bubba, Elliott, Gibbs and many others
Remember when everyone was screeching about the regular season champion almost being eliminated in the round of 16? System broken, etc. So….maybe it was the 78 team that was actually broken.
Seriously Bell shocks me even tho he’s my favorite driver but 1 second gap and 10 laps later he’s bumping him.
I was getting nervous just watching
The bubble really changed today because the 2 drivers on the bubble coming into this round, Larson and Bell, had by far and away the better days than anyone else in the playoffs. Really shows the importance of stage points and winning!
Qualifying is big too, pit selection
85% for sure.
Larson’s save after hitting the wall was a classic.
Imagine his week; wins a sprint car championship, passes his Indy test (1st time in an Indy Car) and wins at Las Vegas to lock into the final round.
It makes my head spin to just think about that.
