You forgot the 1989 Daytona 500…Jeff Hammond led DW to the win on fuel mileage
Might have to make a part 2, there is a few that I left out
One that never gets mentioned is the 2001 Food City 500 when Elliott Sadler pitted with 152 laps to go and went on to win by staying out on old tires to earn his first Cup win and the Wood Brothers first win at Bristol
Aka the Miracle from 38th as us Sadler fans know!
@Jdog2201 Your Not alone always been a sadler fan I’ve always believed if he was with a prime ford team he would have won a title
I was at that 2014 Pocono race, as a Jeff Gordon fan I absolutely sick leaving that race
Another Notable mention Kyle busch 2005 easy care vehicle contracts 200 pits and grabs four tires restarts like 8th and wins the race because of four sticker tires as everyone else had worn out tires!
Juan Pablo Montoya was screwed out of so many oval wins
Burton lost his clutch. He didn’t get disqualified. His pit box was before the start/finish line. He took advantage of the rules and only lost this race because he lost a clutch.
Gateway 2019 for the trucks.
Ross was trying to get into the top 30 in points and be eligible for the playoffs after declaring for truck points midway through the season. His crew chief went fuel only on the final stop of the race and Ross got the win
As a Denny Hamlin fan, I still can’t believe that late race pit strategy worked wgen he passed William Byron with 4 to 5 laps left, and hold of Kevin Harvick
