This race was an embarrassment to the sport, but honestly, this is exactly what NASCAR wants with this championship format. It’s an insult to real racing fans.
Finals should be 3 races too like the other playoff rounds

It shouldn’t even be that it’s a crappy way to crowb a champion were so used to win an your in, how bout keep the points system no playoff points all the way to the end
Dropping one yellow early to artificially extend the race, then holding another to ensure a finish. No race manipulation by NASCAR at all!!! SMDH
I felt sick watching that. It was bad enough after the Hocevar incident but the retaliation was even more disgusting when Hiem had nothing to gain. Rhodes clear as day getting out of line before the finish line, and the tower saying they’re reviewing it to deem “no violation”. Still gonna be more “entertaining” than the cup race on Sunday that will be decided by a pit stop on a late caution. NASCAR definitely wants this.
I’m a British NASCAR fan, I stayed up at 5am in the morning watching all that unfold.
I like a bit of action I’m an agent of chaos… but that was embarrassing.
I stayed up until 1 am as well and listening to the mrn radio I was disgusted and eventually just shut it off
I will admit I am a hocevar fan, but from what I watched on my big screen TV was a tight race car accidentally slide up track against a car which was unaware. And hocevar clearly wasn’t pleased and wasn’t going to win. It was 5 to go and he was in 9th or so, green flag end and he loses. Meanwhile he plain as day only wrecked him once the part timer with the same number font gets past.
Also I was about to cuss so much but my dad was watching with me so I had to keep it down but that.
Trucks is nothing like the xfinity and cup series at all

This race was BELOW NOT GOOD!!!
Age limit. You wouldn’t have teens or early 20-year-olds running for the Championship. These kids are to privileged and don’t have to work on the trucks. They don’t care. They don’t care if they wreck each other etc. They are rushing these kids up for money.
Maybe no overtime for trucks

this race was a shitshow all thanks to Corey Heim. If he hadn’t wrecked Hocevar, there would have been no need for any overtimes and Enfinger would have been the champion. It was a pretty good race until Heim decided to be an idiot. I am so glad Hailie is done with this series and that I no longer have a need to watch Truck races. I have nothing bad to say about the current playoff format though. I actually enjoy it. I just don’t enjoy watching truck races.
I really wanted Enfinger to win the championship especially after Heim’s antics. I really did not want Rhodes to win simply because I don’t like Rich Lushes.
Revenge is a dish best served cold. Weather he meant it or not Hocevar got what deserved. Grant Enfinger needed one more lap and we would be talking about a difference champion. Anyhow Congrats to Ben Rhodes on your second championship.
You don’t INTENTIONALLY wreck someone ending their night just because the driver you wrecked made a mistake which cause NO DAMAGE to Heim’s truck! There is a difference!
