Is it the system or is it just the lawlessness in the truck series, because I bet you Sunday you will hardly see a bumper touched and it will be a 3 hour train fest.
It’s definitely more on the drivers. The system puts them in difficult spots sure, but there’s a clear difference between how inexperienced Truck drivers handle it, and how Cup drivers usually handle it.
@Eric EsteppI know it’ll never happened but I would like too see truck & Xfinity just go back too a full season format. It always seemed forced from the beginning, the scheduling is awful it seems like every series is in a different round, you usually only see 75% of teams have full time drivers so you have 20 guys going for 12 spots in 38 car field, it just doesn’t seem as serious as the Cup post season.
I’m watting for the year when the championship 4 all crash early and we get to see 3 or 4 crashed trucks race for a championship 30 laps down with tape and patches all over there cars.
if NASCAR had a year through points system, in cup going into Phoenix I think there is 3 (Hamlin, Bell and Byron) or 4 (add Buescher) who could win the championship, which would be equally exciting and would crown a fitting champion
Shout out to Grant Enfinger for not sending it into the final corner and cleaning out everyone i hope he can get a good ride for next year maybe with thor sport in the 13 truck
If I were Enfinger I’d be looking for a Xfinity ride for next year and get away from these idiots in the trucks …. He needs to move up not sideways …..
Honestly, my main issue with Heim taking Hocevar out is that he took out two of his teammates (the 17 went around and the 5 just about piled in) and he also completely ruined the championship battle. Yes, what Hocevar did was stupid but the way Heim payed him back just seems wrong.
And as it was mentioned in the video, it didn’t help Heim he just went ahead and ruined the championship battle that was happening. And having 2/4 championship finalists just taking eachother out is just a bit embarrassing
That reminded me a bit of an F3 race in Monza, which was ultimately stopped and ended by the race director due to a “lack of driving skills”. Some later F1 drivers also took part in this race.
Honestly, wouldn’t mind if a good chunk of these young drivers receive the Dan Ticktum treatment of discipline just to point their heads in the right direction. If they make it to the cup series still driving like that it’ll just make things worse for everyone.
Hears the issue. It’s a competition. And they all want to win. And what a lot of you call “driver edict” is basically if he’s faster than you just pull over let him go or if you’re side by side going in to a corner that 2 cars can’t go through side by side lift and let the guy have it. Now this is all good with 100 laps to go but how do you tell some one to just give up and let some one else win because it’s better for everyone else? If your racing a guy for a spot and one of you have to lift why should you have to lift why not him? And that’s what the other guy is saying too. That’s why I don’t like FIA races and rules. They go against competition. It would be like if in the NFL a safety was told if you can’t guarantee 100% a guy isn’t going to get hurt you can’t tackle him and have to let him score.
@SDX3 Unfortunately, even Ticktum keeps failing upwards. Sure, you could argue without his attitude, he could be looked at for F1, but I’d argue the kid shouldn’t even have a ride with the amount of mental breakdowns he has in the cockpit, yet he’s paid generational wealth to drive a Formula E car.
Heim wrecking him intentionally like that in the championship should be some kind of suspension!!! Last lap I’m ok with it. Ruining the race is terrible!!!!
Dude they already do limit it. That last lap was a clear yellow and nascar was just done with the bullshit and didn’t throw one. that is not the first time this year they’ve done that either
I’m all for going back to a simple points scoring method and doing away with the playoffs.
Catering to the minority of auto sports fans has been a slap in the face to auto racing purists since its inception.
I’m with you!!! Manufacturing cautions for a hot dog wrapper blowing across the track, especially when there’s a few laps to end the race.when its just to bunch up the field to hope there’s a big wreck to give the “fans” some excitement.
Pandering to the spectacle,if that’s what gets fans excited then run more smash up derbys for their benefit!!!!
I was one of the pit crew who helped build the car that’s got to fix it again after the last crash , believe me, I wasn’t cheering for it either!!!!
I’m fine with them rewarding the winner with more points or something..but I do prefer a standardized points season. Racing will never be football or the world cup so they should not try to make it as such.
The world cup doesn’t have all of the countries in one huge soccer match, week after week.
I am also all for double points events to spice it up.. or twin race weekends with extra points awarded to twin race winners.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a worse championship finale than tonight. What a diabolical joke. Perfect way to sum up the Truck Series. NASCAR needs to set up a behavioral center for these guys
On a positive note, glad to see Hailie Deegan get a good finish in her last truck race. She miss two accidents thanks to some heads up driving. Looks like she backed out of it on the last couple of restarts just to be sure she wasn’t going to be used as someone’s pinball. Good luck to Hailie and Ty Majeski as they take over the driving duties in the 2024 Xfinity Series for AM Racing.

OH BOY 3 AM
For me this race lasted from 4 to 7
It’s just one of those days
KRABBY PATTY TIME
Bro when is anybody gonna talk about Kaden Honeycutt lol, fell asleep to see him finish 8th!?
“Who eats a Krabby Patty at 3 in the morning?”

bet on it no hard racing in the cup final pull over everyone

@Eric Esteppwell eirc I think Ben roades didn’t deserve the championship but oh well.
Dont jinx it dawg
The championship 4 is a really bad way to crown a champion and I think tonight really showed it
I’m watting for the year when the championship 4 all crash early and we get to see 3 or 4 crashed trucks race for a championship 30 laps down with tape and patches all over there cars.

@Aaronno.
The championship 4 round desparately needs to be 3 races. Driver to score the most points in those 3 races wins the title
@Gage Brumleyor, they just do want the majority of other Motorsport series do…..have a full season points format
Shout out to Grant Enfinger for not sending it into the final corner and cleaning out everyone i hope he can get a good ride for next year maybe with thor sport in the 13 truck
Hey buddy, I think Frankie Muniz Is Fit For the 13 Ford F150 While Enfinger pro drive for spire driving the 7
If I were Enfinger I’d be looking for a Xfinity ride for next year and get away from these idiots in the trucks …. He needs to move up not sideways …..
I think Muniz Is A Good Driver I ARCA
Thor Sport Should Sign Him
He Could Also Make The Playoffs
Looks Like Grant Enfinger Likes Racing In The Truck Seires
Thanks Eric, we appreciate it!

Agreed! He needed to show restraint there and be the bigger man. And also think about others and not just himself.
I’m glad I’m only attending the race on Sunday. That was a huge embarrassment for NASCAR.
To be noted: I wanted Enfinger to get the championship, while Purdy get the the win. A positive send-off for GMS and KBM.
That was close as it gets.
Third place and second in the championship is still a pretty good send off
That reminded me a bit of an F3 race in Monza, which was ultimately stopped and ended by the race director due to a “lack of driving skills”. Some later F1 drivers also took part in this race.
Same here, also in Moto 3 when the race director pulled all the riders in at Barcelona and chewed them all out in the pit lane
Honestly, wouldn’t mind if a good chunk of these young drivers receive the Dan Ticktum treatment of discipline just to point their heads in the right direction. If they make it to the cup series still driving like that it’ll just make things worse for everyone.
And you look that race’s grid today and can recognize something like 15 names from the current F1/Indy/F-E/WEC/IMSA grids

I totally agree.
@davids5006 u can laugh all u want to but he’s getting suspended
@EpilepticBumblebee48 He’s not, but enjoy fantasyland.
@EpilepticBumblebee48 last lap or 30th lap shouldn’t matter if they are going to enforce rules
You know the race was a crapshoot when Eric posts a video from his car xD
The playoff system that you like so much caused this Eric…
THE STUPID DAMN PLAYOFFS
In Eric’s defense he has said time and time again he doesn’t like a one race finale
real
The one race finale that Eric DOESN’T like caused this. Then there was Martinsville Xfinity race…
I like the playoffs, but I wish the championship 4 was also 3 races.
This race is a good argument for limiting the number of attempts for overtime.
We need as many not a limited we done that I hated it it was terrible
I think it’s a good argument for no overtimes.
Just get rid of overtime
Just go back to 3 attempts like with the GWC. There was nothing wrong with that format
Dude they already do limit it. That last lap was a clear yellow and nascar was just done with the bullshit and didn’t throw one. that is not the first time this year they’ve done that either

i reckon playoffs would be good but just not down to 1 race..5 races with 10 drivers would be cool
WELL SAID
After watching F1 this year I could not disagree more, more races should be in the Championship round tho
I’m fine with them rewarding the winner with more points or something..but I do prefer a standardized points season. Racing will never be football or the world cup so they should not try to make it as such.
The world cup doesn’t have all of the countries in one huge soccer match, week after week.

May I ask a question?
Why are they stage racing in the finale?
Everyone eliminated is still competing for points finish with each other.
Free caution so teams don’t blow tires on long runs.
they believe without cautions the racing will get boring
The real reason is it’s for the owners championship
May I ask a question? Were there any fans in the stands? Could the owner(s) not afford a couple of 60 watt light bulbs?
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a worse championship finale than tonight. What a diabolical joke. Perfect way to sum up the Truck Series. NASCAR needs to set up a behavioral center for these guys
I’m certain they could get some guvmint money by declaring themselves a day care system

Hol’ up, Majeski is going Xfinity?
@Salt Bomb Creations Big announcement coming soon, yes he is.
I think a 3 race final round would be great.
At least two would help
Last 10 races of the season, 4 best drivers, best average finish between them wins the championship.
