Both drivers did what they are expected. No where does it say you have to give up track position for a championship driver

Keslowski & Johnson set the precedent for NOT INTERFERING in playoff drivers Champ outcomes.. rule or not, it’s etiquette & manners of the sport. Most teams limit $$$ once out of the playoffs, so you never noticed til now

@retroRoman doomsday& simulation channel etiquette are not rules. You don’t have to follow them

Ross Chastain simply proved that if it wasnt for that stupidity at Talladega he wouldve been this years champion without doubt.

It’s weird people are actually upset about this

Ross has zero racing manners, & will be wrecked as payback, instead of holding a cup trophy, he will get his prizes, but you need friends to get a championship

@retroRoman doomsday& simulation channel what he’s expected to pull over and let him go? It’s called racing for a reason. He didn’t wreck anyone and had a better car obviously because he won. Don’t hate the player hate the game!!!!

No issue with Ross here, he was racing for the win. Did what he had to do without roughing Blaney up. Blaney did what he had to do as well. That said Blaney’s meltdown almost cost him the championship.

During any other race, I think it was alright but the championship race… Chastain didn’t need to block like he did because him or track house didn’t stand a chance for a title or owner series championship, all Chastain wants is the attention (wall ride moment) to stay relevant in the sport

Taking away a guys line is part of racing and getting mad about it is part of racing too! The format is the issue and since the emphasis is supposed to be about winning, the best driver through the season with the most wins didn’t win the Cup. Blaney’s a good guy and hat’s off to him for getting hot at the right time. He gives the best interviews and I may go buy a #12 hat!

I don’t like Chastain, but he has the right to go for the win, after a very quiet season. That’s the rub with NASCAR playoffs. Everybody else is still racing for wins, contracts, sponsorships.

This bit makes me think EVERYONE got amnesia since Harvick & Elliot incident(s) … Took his line away.. lol. If you aint in the playoffs, you dont interfere with the outcome.. made concrete by Keslowski/Johnson a decade ago

As a Blaney fan I won’t lie at the time I was heated that he was racing him so hard, but as a fan of Nascar since the 80’s I do know that all the drivers are out there for Sponsors and seats for the next season, so it is all good and I completely agree with you.
