There has been many great calls throughout NASCAR history but this one is the most iconic. It was the start to NASCAR’s rise in popularity at the time. RIP to Ken Squier.

I remember this call like it was yesterday. I was a senior in high school in high school and have always been a diehard NASCAR fan. Like others have said, this call helped NASCAR to become the sport that it became in the 80s and early 90s. Rest in peace to one of the greatest broadcasters of my favorite sport.
