NASCAR has had the best of the best in the world when it comes to driver talent. Even those drivers that do run behind are serviceable at the worst. But the worst drivers of a team are ones that stick out a good amount and that’s what we are going to look at today. Every modern NASCAR team’s worst driver ever.

Who are the worst performing drivers at teams that you can think of?
JJ Yeley was a nightmare
@JGR4LIFE kind of debatable
Bubba. Austin Dillon
@MrRolloBaggins bubba didn’t do that bad this year..Austin however..yeah no..
“Every NASCAR Team’s Worst Driver Ever”
Richard Childress Racing: What do you mean Sheldon Creed doesn’t count?
Yeah probably
*Stupidest
Stupid doesn’t necessarily mean worst
Sheldon Creed is an excellent driver in the Xfinity series.
This is like a more chill version of Barry McCockiner’s videos where he goes over the worst QB’s at each NFL team.
Wdym more chill
@KitsuneGB1001 no swearing mostly
I wonder if that video was his inspiration for this video
This must be a trend rn, cuz fivepointsvids made a “every nfl team’s worst kicker” video
Even with the criteria of drivers that had more than a handful of starts, Todd Kluever still ended up making a cameo in this during the Wood Brother’s segment.
Nope, that was Ragan.
@crystaljon Indeed it was. I was completely convinced that was Kluever, and apparently at least a dozen others were as well.
David Stremme being on Penske still boggles my mind to this day.
Didn’t Sam Hornish drive the 77 Mobile car for Penske?
@Mike WagnerYea but at least Sam won an Indycar championship and won the most iconic Indy 500 finish in history for Penske before he went to their Nascar team
He’d kicked Steve Wallace’s butt in Nationwide despite skipping the road courses. Penske figured if Rusty trusted him, he could too.
Prime Terry Labonte and Bobby Labonte at Gibbs would’ve been AMAZING
Spire Motorsports is a team that has quietly been building themselves up into a legit team, using the large amount of cup team shutdowns in 2020-2021 to their advantage and are now running three full time cars by next season. In terms of horsepower theyre still well off, but Spire is definitely a successful team in the making
Was not expecting you to be harshfully honest about the team OOtG and you sponsored, im not mad or roasting myself just, respect
I think you are pretty much spot on! Great research!
To be bad at one top team is one thing, but to be bad at two top teams like Wally Dallenbach Jr screams NASCAR Bust in my eyes
I think Wally kept getting chances, especially with Roush, because he was a successful road racer in Trans-Am and GTO.
Penske has also had a fair share of bad drivers when it comes to their Indycar team in addition to NASCAR. However the worst one has to be Andre Ribero who only raced one season with Penske (1998) & he was awful as he only finished in the Top 10 three times, his highest finish was 7th at Vancouver & finished 22nd in the points that year which is totally unacceptable at a team like Penske. Then with Haas, it seems like every driver with their F1 team with the exceptions of Kevin Magnussen & Romain Grosjean have been terrible, especially Nikita Mazepin who easily has to be the worst driver to have entered F1 in the past 30 years.
I completely forgot Wally drove for Hendrick. A rare miss.
Same. I saw the pic and thought he was gonna say Craven at first.
Me too, Craven at least won races for a smaller team after leaving Hendrick.
LEFFLER left turn. RIP one hell of a sprint car driver, passed doing what he loved.
Great video concept. Would love to see this done with key teams from the history of the sport (i.e., Petty, MWR, Evernham, Ganassi, DEI, Red Bull, etc).
Those teams would’ve made more sense than opening the video with trackhouse, lol.
Still think it’s JJ Yeley with Gibbs. At the time, the 11 was the new third team and understandable that the team took off the following season, JJ took the flagship car and did absolutely nothing with it except cost Mark Martin at Charlotte in 06
8:27 pretty sure JJ Yeley also made starts with the 11 team in 2005, also 2 in 04
10:45 Ty Gibbs (while a replacement driver) didn’t do as well as Bubba
Had to go back and look–Schrader was a lot more succesful than I had remembered in his years at Hendrick.
Yeah, top five in points a few years.
Good list, maybe U should do a list of worst drivers with significant teams that are no longer around. Evernham/GEM, Petty Enterprises/RPM. RYR, MWR, DEI, Ganassi, Team Red Bull, Furniture Row Racing, Bill Davis Racing and anyone else I missed
