Roush needs a third charter
They’re on their way to challenging for wins for not just most weeks
But every week

@davidkellyjr2092 November 30, 2023 at 8:07 am

RFK, 23XI, LMC, Trackhouse and RCR all need a 3rd charter. Not counting JTD, RWR, and Spire whom all would love to expand to help their own brands.
Now we just need to get Nascar to expand the field from 40 cars to 44, and expand the charters from, 36 to 40. They could hold an auction for the 4 new charters, and have the money raised split 37 ways, 1 to Nascar, 36 to the other existing charters teams. *dream dream dream*

I know many are pretty disappointed that it’s Ragan. But he is one hell of a superspeedway racer. With him, we could legitimately see a RFK 1-3.

Remember he probably should’ve won the 2011 Daytona 500 but got hit with that changing lanes before start/finish which shouldn’t apply to the leader imho

More disappointing NASCAR is going to Amazon prime video. More races going down the drain.

I like the idea of nascar getting their foot in the streaming market however as a college student I’m glad those streaming races are at my home in summer break so I can use my parents Amazon and hbo. Just wish we only had one streaming partner

Sounds like Justin Marks had a great idea starting Project 91. TrackHouse with Kimi Räikkönen, and Shane van Gisbergen, Richard Childress Racing with Brodie Kostecki, Legacy Motor Club with Jimmie Johnson 23X1 Racing with Kamui Kobayashi and now Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing with David Ragu. Way to go Justin New cars, New and old faces keep it coming.

@karenhowe3484 November 30, 2023 at 5:24 pm

I’m not at all impressed with the Project 91 concept nor particularly pleased with all the “new” international faces that will be driving in 2024. There are more than enough homegrown drivers looking for the opportunity to showcase their talent in good seats, many of whom will never get the opportunity. Nope, if I wanted to watch international drivers I’d be a fan of F1, Indy car or Imsa — which I’m not. I want to watch our homegrown drivers….

Reply
@bearmarsh6579 November 30, 2023 at 5:44 pm

Sorry you feel that way. If Nascar ever goes international you will see a lot more new faces. There’s nothing wrong with thinking outside the box.

It already is a done deal. I would love to hear your thoughts on that television deal because I think it’s gonna hurt the sport very much so especially for people who don’t have Amazon prime or people that do like watching qualifying for these races, and those are gonna be hard to findin 2025

Reply
@neblolthecarnerd November 30, 2023 at 7:48 am

Its great for me because I usually wouldn’t be able to watch in the uk but with Amazon I probably can

Staying on cable would do much more damage. Cable is becoming obsolete

Reply
@davidkellyjr2092 November 30, 2023 at 8:10 am

I’m excited to see how things go with Amazon Prime, consider how popular prime is in general. the TNT/Max streaming not so much, glade its going to be dual casted and no just on Max.

I’m also interested in seeing, now that Prime is taking over practice and qualify, will we see longer practice sessions again? or will it just be the quick hour like its been recently.

@OldsmobileCutlass1969Va November 30, 2023 at 10:58 am

Maybe better than Prime, would be to have the races simulcast on YT TV?

Reply
@brianstacey2679 November 30, 2023 at 7:12 am

The one thing I hope they continue is posting the full race on YouTube a few days later. That really helps when I cannot watch a race live.

@iisquared77 November 30, 2023 at 7:20 am

i already think a split broadcasting deal is kinda silly, so giving it to 4 different broadcasters, including 2 different streaming services seems a bit wacky. i understand this is more of a step than a leap but to me it seems like a better deal would be having one streaming service cover that 10 race stretch rather than 2, so that we can see them find their footing and put cable on notice

Reply
@UTSpeedShow November 30, 2023 at 4:22 pm

I agree somewhat, however the NFL is split between 5 broadcasters (FOX, CBS, NBC, ESPN, Amazon) and they do alright haha. I think the key though is for the broadcasts to work together to promote the sport, rather than how it is now… for example, FOX acts as if NASCAR no longer exists once its portion of the schedule is over

@greathitnick3034 November 30, 2023 at 8:46 am

I hope this streaming deal leads to more content of nascar as a whole. Having a documentary through out the season of nascar would be cool and would sort of be like how f1 is on Netflix

@jaykay3071 November 30, 2023 at 1:02 pm

All I hope is tsn here in canada picks up the rights to air the tnt portion kinda like how they do for fox and nbc now. I really like the prime aspect. Especially how they will cover practice and qualifying the first half. It’s been a couple years since having practice and qualifying broadcast in canada

Reply
@AlexTess7 November 30, 2023 at 12:46 pm

Yeah… same boat here. It’s already not easy to get all cup and xfinity races in Canada. I don’t want to juggle around to find how I can see them every 5 races.

I like the shuffling around at RCR. This will improve things slowly, but steadily moving forward. I’ll expect Busch to stay the same, if not better, but Dillon, Hill and even Kotescki and Love should all start to improve even more now too.

these extra entry super speedway drivers are to improve the drafting help/mainline drivers chances of success (mainly in the Ford camp). Ragan has past superspeedway success and lately Riley Herbst has provided some drafting help in the races he’s participated in.
