And most people are mad at Bubba because he was frustrated playing a video game? Who hasn’t been? I remember this happening and when Blue-Emu dropped him I was so confused.
Bubba losing a sponsor over a video game is the most Bubba Wallace thing I’ve ever heard. But considering the sponsorship deals he has now with McDonald’s and DoorDash for example, it looks like he got the last laugh.
I dont think people understand. Even though its a virtual race, Blue Emu invested real money into Bubba to get their logo on his car and have been see their logo drive around the track and get viewership. If you spend money to have someone represent your brand, then that person just doesnt participate in the event and mocks it’s legitimacy, it’s a real slap in the face to the sponsor and the money they put forth.

I remember whem this happened lol
I couldn’t stop laughing, we’ve all been there playing a game
One of the weirdest sagas ever. This was such a culture clash between a corporate sponsor and online internet/video game behavior lol
Not really a “video game” considering it helps real drivers and potential drivers train and practice but… ya essentially
Still a video game

Yeah I thought blu emu dropping him wasn’t fair at all!
@miketwotwenty yeah but he over exaggerated, he got the last laugh though because he is with McDonald’s

He’s consistent, at least
He’s a good driver, I’m not denying that. Absolutely deserves to be in this sport.
Thought it was a joke at 1st
The 2-month iRacing saga in 2020, feels more and more like a fever dream the farther away we get from it
Bet Blue Emu regret droping him concidering how popular Bubba has become since 23XI was founded
I’ve always thought Blu emu just wanted out and that was their out
Can you believe this was almost 4 years ago?
Just going to laugh at the fact that blue emu was said they were interested in drivers
Haven’t seen them around in a while…
