Sam is a sharp kid! Was Denny’s race engineer since 2013 I believe. He’s going to be one to watch. And will be a Cup CC in the next few years, you can count on that.
Man I HATE that Trevor Bayne didn’t get a Gibbs ride this year. As good as he drove every time last year I thought for sure he would at minimum be able to drive part time. It’s a shame he doesn’t have money following him around because he definitely has the talent.
Yeah the way Trevor drove the wheels off them cars at superspeedways and not getting a ride is very surprising! There’s talent there, he’s just gotta have the right opportunity. Or maybe he doesn’t want to race full time, idk…
@Eric regarding SVG, interesting point about trucks racing more like cup cars than Xfinity cars. They probably chose Xfinity because drivers are “considered” more skilled and “less” reckless, more views (important for sponsors) and the tracks are more aligned to the cup series schedule.
The truck series may driver more like a Cup car, but I think it’s more valuable to just get seat time and learn how to drive around an oval, because you have to approach an oval turn in a completely different manor than you approach a road course turn. Because of that, it’s probably more valuable for someone to go into a less similar feeling car, but gettings thousands of green flag laps, versus sitting in a similar feeling truck and getting thousands of laps under 60mph caution speed.
Kind fo a joke, but also kind of not. Almost every single truck race has a majority of its laps run under caution, you gain absolutely nothing in experience from that, it would honestly be a waste of time in SVG eyes.
I am very excited about the SVG schedule. Full-time Xfinity is a very bold move. And two Talladega’s in the Cup Series!!. As a fellow Kiwi, I’ve been very excited about him joining NASCAR. Now the talking is over, and the time has come to deliver.
I honestly feel that the svg move is gonna hurt him – 3 races in nascar so far – 1 win 1 top 10 and a finish in trucks (in one piece) to go from 3 races in 2 series to 33 races in a completely different series is a pretty significant shift – I mean the only reason he might make playoffs is the amount of rc on the xfinity series schedule and I can only see him making through the first round before of the roval…. definitely skeptical but wish him the best !!!
I am interested to know if SVG will be in the All Star Race. It was not announced, but he is guaranteed a spot per the rules. As a fan of the sport I hope he is there too! And as for the Truck piece, given the clownish nonsense in the truck series I think it is probably for the best that he avoid that. I have to imagine that would be a detriment more than an asset for his career.
I think SVG is skipping the Truck series because, while the trucks may drive more like the cup car, the Xfinity series is a better place for a driver to hone their skills. Overall running the Xfinity series will make him a better driver. The truck series is full of inexperienced drivers and is a wreck fest every week. It’s no wonder he’s skipping the Trucks.

Love the weather tech scheme
Will they change the memes to L and LeatherTech if he does bad? @EricEstepp
I hope I can see SVG at the 600, maybe get the Chicago win diecast signed
They really let Cody Ware come back but yet Jeremy Mayfield is still banned
Crazy
NASCAR Moment
That’s stupid as hell in my opinion. I wouldn’t be surprised if Steve O’Donnell or Steve Phelps was addicted to snuff companies like Brian France was.
@@IanPerez2000_YTJeremy Mayfield doesn’t have a team owner as a father
As a JGR fan I love their lineup, I’m so freaking excited!
Just wish they drop Graf and give it to another deserving driver
I’ll pray for you misguided JGR fans, all six of you.
@@norme2681there’s nothing that’s misguided. And there’s more than 6 JGR fans.

This is potentially the best Xfinity team line up I’ve ever seen
It’s a Allstar team

Bayne Needs A Ride For Real
I predict he will get a few spins in the 20. I doubt Almirola is doing 26 races lol.

I’ll be happily getting some SVG NASCAR merch once that drops lol

Agree. The trucks might be more similar to cup, but the drivers you have to race against are not.

I’ve been saying Trackhouse would use Kaulig for SVG for months. It made the most sense for both teams.

SHR just announced that Noah Gragson will be driving the #10 for the 2024 season.
Regardless if SVG wins a race or not its just nice to see him in Nascar. His positive attitude, the way he races everyone its just cool to see.
He will win and win on ovals too, just not before August.
@@matthewallen5399he won’t win a oval
Both Xfinity and Cup are loaded with so much talent right now. I think we’re in for some treats with this current crop over the next few years
Noah Gragson is officially joining SHR, Eric. Do a video on it!
