NASCAR gaming has had its share of ups and downs in the last few decades. One that had a place in NASCAR fans hearts for many years was NASCAR ‘15. A game that at one time many fans put above most, but now is one that has seemingly been forgotten by many. Let’s look back at NASCAR 15: NASCAR gaming’s middle child.

What are your thoughts on NASCAR ‘15?
I’ve never played it.
It was a serviceable enough of a decent game to keep the NASCAR gaming sphere alive
It’s crazy in a good way. You have glitches but you also have really good racing. It’s a mix of weird wacky and awesome moments.
I liked it
This is an amazing game. I was bought it in 2020 in Steam and still playing in this game.
This was my second NASCAR game I ever played after Inside The Line, and I liked it
fr tho realradman bringing back his nascar ‘14 underfunded dream is the most entertaining nascar gameplay rn imo
Michael Moobs and running as Danika Patrick in nascar 2011 the game dlc career mode?
Michael Mrucz: “Well yes, but actually no.”
Too bad he sucks MSG off
The problem with nascar creators are is by and large they are not entertaining. Radman is terrible at actual series content and Mcruz is just a bumbling fool, who deletes comments even remotely criticizing his commentary. Gowen is amazing but his series dramatizes everything. “He ran into me” you purposely forced yourself into him… The only decent creator was Windvow but he releases a video every 2-3 months
@@TactShooterwindvow was the main reason I started back buying nascar Games
This game got me into NASCAR with videos of people playing it I think even while 2016’s game was out so I have a lot of nostalgia for this game, I still consider this game better than any games that came after it
Speaking as someone who bought NASCAR 15 on the 360 for their own birthday, it was fun, I loved recreating random paint schemes from the current season or the past as my Career Mode paints. It started my road into becoming a NR2003 painter.
The only downsides of the paint booth is how crispy logos would look compared to the official models, and the Toyota template didn’t have the black grill, which was a pain to setup back in the day.
As for Iceberg not knowing about it, it was only available physically at GameStop, and it was basically just DLC for NASCAR ’14.
I love the eutechnyx nascar games. Not only that, but we got one of the greatest series in the history of YouTube from Michael Moobs with these games.
The last ever NASCAR game with Jeff Gordon and Michael Waltrip as playable drivers
and Sam Hornish Jr. too if you count him tho he doesn’t have an AI
I liked the fact that you could have the CPU & yourself DNF. I hope the next NASCAR game will have this feature but I highly doubt it
To me this is the best NASCAR game ever made. From the physics to the racing is absolutely incredible. There are some bugs such as wall glitches, AI randomly checking up, etc. But once you get into a rhythm and understand when and where the AI check up, you’ll have a much better racing experience.
NASCAR ‘15 was loads of fun. From the challenges, to creating paint schemes, to dropping in a quick race, everything was fun. One of my favorite NASCAR Games.
I absolutely love NASCAR ‘15. It is far from perfect, but its gameplay (and particularly that paint booth) always has me coming back for more.
I would kill to get a modern nascar game with a paintbooth that good
I want my southwest scheme on a next gen so bad
I remember getting this game on my 360 before I got an Xbox one and it was a huge step for me getting into nascar fast forward now I have a racing wheel and a bunch of racing games.
What allows NASCAR 15 to remain somewhat relevant, is its online player base. There are still communities dedicated to the game to this very day on PC. I know this because I’ve owned the biggest Discord server dedicated to NASCAR 15 since around 2018 and we recently reached 500 members. The game is a buggy mess and broken on so many levels, but the game is simple, the graphics are solid, and the driving model is great.
One thing that makes me return to nascar 15 is the paint booth, I’ve spent a good amount of time making schemes, I adore it
Had ’15 Victory Edition since launch and it’s the definition of a love hate relationship. The paint booth is awesome, the racing can be great as well. The thing is the bugs/glitches made the game literally unplayable, I’ve had to RESTART MY CAREER on a handful of occasions now to fix races and qualifying being soft-locked.. The racing was extremely track dependent, too, but that I can live with.
It’s an amazing game if you spend the sub $5 price tag you get during steam sales. Wouldn’t recommend unless you do that.
The biggest problem with NASCAR 2011-2015 for me was how all the AI cars where the same speed. It’s baffles my mind how they could never figure out how to make any speed difference from the the front runners to the back markers for 5 years.
NASCAR 15 is probably my most played NASCAR game after 07. I love the racing at Auto Club and Chicagoland. Setups for restrictor plates if you did them were always weird because you’d have this really weird looking car and if you hit the dip on the turns the car would just crash. I also just miss being able to see what caused the caution compared to the new games. I feel like the newer games through phantom cautions unless you’re willing to sit through an hour replay to see what exactly caused certain cautions.
I’ve owned every nascar game since Nascar ‘07 and Nascar ‘15 is still my favorite to this day. Very underrated game.
