When every new year starts I routinely give my predictions for the ensuing NASCAR season. Usually they are wrong but they are always a fun time capsule into the mindset of myself and others heading into the new season. Today the tradition continues with 24 predictions for the 2024 NASCAR season.

What are your NASCAR predictions for 2024?
Denny Hamlin Goes Winless
@@bIack-oppz yes please
Denny hamlin well get into a fight with everyone
Hocevar and Berry will make the playoffs in their rookie seasons
SVG wins five or more ovals races and the NXS championship.
I expect that we’re going to hear a lot about Rockingham, Nashville Fairgrounds and Canada when the 2025 Schedule talks kick into high gear in the Summer. Can’t wait.
Fairgrounds will never be back on the schedule.
I feel like Montreal or CTMP will get a Cup date in 2025. The Olympics just unfortunately screwed up their schedules so that a deal with NASCAR could not happen for this year. I do hope that Iowa is not just a one off though. I also hope that North Wilkesboro gets a Cup points race in 2025, while Rockingham gets the All Star Race in 2025 as well. Finally, I know people hate this, but I want Portland to get a Cup date in 2025. The PNW is missing out on the Cup schedule after all.
And Mexico, possibly a second street circuit race
@@ATK10155That’s going to depend upon the Metro council if the SMI deal is approved NASCAR will be back at the fairgrounds
We are day 1 into 2024.
Odd prediction, I think Sam Mayer will make his Cup Series debut this year, perhaps on a road course or superspeedway, or maybe to substitute for an injured driver
He’s the next big thing
And as huge fan of his I can’t wait to see
I predict him going to Kaulig next year
@@kimstmariejones6596 that’d be a cool start
To which car?
@JackCallSports This ties into my greater 2025 predictions, but the #31, as Daniel Hemric moves to a different team. The #16 is renumbered to the #32, a number Kaulig has said they wanted, and it’s piloted by Gragson
@@kimstmariejones6596 Yeaa
It was rumored before he went to cup he was out at Kaulig
I can’t wait for the 2024 season!

riley herbst wins 5 plus races. People forget how good he looked to end the year
I will say Alex Bowman will have a bounce back year. Last season was a tough one for him. I see him having a solid year. #6 is a given. SHR will struggle mightily in 2024.
Alex Bowman also had the Regular Season points lead before his injury in the beginning of the 2023 season, so I can definitely see a resurgence from him in ’24.
I agree with you on Bubba. Something about 23XI just screams they’re due for a breakout, dominating year. It’d be cool to see both Bubba and Reddick have multi-win seasons and make a big showing in the playoffs.
Reddick yes, Bubba meh. Only thing I could see from the 23 is maybe a win at Kansas or Dega
@@samuelw.3992 why?
@@TheUncancelable1 I won’t open a can of worms. Do I like bubba? No. Will I be mad if he does good this year. No. But I will say this. If he can pull off another 2023 but with a win or two this season then I’ll shut up about him.
@@samuelw.3992 ok I can respect that
@@samuelw.3992 Bubba Wallace is the last current Cup Series Driver I would call underrated. Whether one takes that as a positive or negative, that’s on them.
I’m praying Indy is a great race as I’m going there for my birthday weekend.
Apart from that I think Bell and Byron will be the dominant drivers this year, and drivers like Briscoe and Suarez will have big turnaround seasons.
I expect it to be 3 races before you can tell Harvick is tired of Bowyer’s antics.
Didn’t even think about this hahaha
Wow
That includes the clash and duels right? lol
I think Nascar’s expansion international is inevitable. I think Puebla’s oval is a viable option, as well as Interlagos and Buenos Aires for the South American audience or trying other international tracks to replace the Clash. I think the best tracks for Nascar to run at is Mt. Fuji, Kyalami, Inje Speedium in South Korea, the Nurburgring, Spa, and Brands Hatch.
I live very close to Brands Hatch and that would be AWESOME. the Indy circuit is kind of like a small Watkins Glen inner loop, and the GP circuit would be good although very difficult to pass in a NASCAR imo
There is gonna be international races in 2025.
It would take a crapload of money and effort to make it a reality since it’s in worse shape than North Wilkesboro was, but I can see a return to the Calder Thunderdome happening before the end of the decade. The Australian summer is our winter, and with SVG, Brodie Kostecki and (if the RFK rumors are to be believed) Cam Waters all getting their NASCAR feet wet, fans would have some serious local (or local-ish in Shane’s case) talent to cheer for in the starting field.
@tomanderson6335 If they’re going to try anywhere in Australia, it better be Bathurst. I know it only has 6 weekends a year available, but if they bring in all 4 series (Cup, Xfinity, Trucks, ARCA) then Nascar would give them a solid case. I think Adelaide would also be fantastic, and both would cost very little since the infrastructure is already there
I just worry about transporting the cars to Europe but they did it to Japan before so idk
Those are some spicy predictions. I’ll be back as per usual at the end of the season to review each one
You nailed it with the last prediction. It’s death, taxes and NASCAR fans complaining y’all
Zero chance that Shane loses every Xfinity road course. My bet would be he wins more of them than AJ.
I don’t even look at the trucks as a lower level, it’s a different thing in of itself. So, I think Deegan will find moderate success in a car rather than a truck. She won’t win unless the plate races goes her way, but I don’t think she’ll be an embarrassment or anything. She’s 22 in a sport where many people don’t have consistent success until they’re in their 30s
Deegan probably make the playoffs
Iceberg Go a Week Without Mentioning Chicagoland Challenge: Impossible
I’m just hoping running the Indy 500 won’t hurt Larson’s season
I can’t wait for Indy. I’ve gone to every RC race and I’m tired of the track. It’s nice but finally a change. Might still be the last time I go. I wanna go to more tracks, but I do hope the oval is good.
