That’s what’s confusing to me. Before I became a fan of the sport and knew anything about it, the ONLY impressive thing to me were the speeds they were racing at. If they hadn’t had those high speeds, I probably never would’ve turned it on one day and given it a chance. No one’s going to be attracted to this sport if they keep slowing down the top speeds and reducing HP.
@@JBAlternatetracks like Michigan Indy and even a couple cookie cutters they used to hit 210+ going into turn ones and now we will get 190 in the draft at best. Nascar is hurting nascar at this point I swear they enjoy making the fans frustrated
Nascar failed at Indy last time with the restrictor plate, just let the run unrestricted. So sick of that package everywhere. Indy is a one groove track.
Got to see Kyle run in Vato last year for the Wild West Shootout. It’s an excellent track. Personally I’d say it’s the better pick anyway over the Chilli bowl, but that’s cause I’m a late model guy anyway
Michigan that makes sense because you’re going some of the fastest speeds on the whole schedule. 200 mph plus, even with the low package you’re still going insanely fast at that track especially with the new NexGen car. They must be doing it because of safety, I mean, we’ve had some really bad crashes at Michigan in the last few years.
It’s crazzy to think that the xfinity series was the premiere racing series in nascar last year!! Cup should be 800 hp with a narrow wheel base and should get back to that being the premiere series in American racing!

Well I guess they want slower cars at Indy and Michigan

If Michigan wasn’t repaved in 2012 that could have raced like a Homestead or Auto Club

Weren’t they running restrictor plates in 2018 in Cup there? They are trying to get better racing at Indy. Michigan is fine without restrictor plates.
Eh, the racing at Indianapolis is going to suck no matter what package they run, or whether they do it on the road course or the oval.
@@sethbomgardner9030 This. Indy is a crappy track for stock cars
Indy is an open wheel track. Racing there has almost never been good for stock cars.
@@samharris3508 the racing is fine, just stop expecting it to be like everywhere else, it’s a challenge and thet’s why it’s good
I think you forgot to mention the select few races that Jimmie is going to be racing and what sponsors he will have for said races.
That was covered in video one yesterday
I had a class this morning Sunny-D car gets my vote. Yup that’s Nascar taking horsepower away instead of adding it. Go Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
Looking forward to the DeWalt Tier List!!!
Hard to beat the 2002 scheme IMO
Every time they take 1 step forward, they take 2 steps back…
Cole Custer’s paint scheme is very sharp looking.
The restrictor plate at Indy and Michigan was amazing. Just fantastic
I’m hoping the Indycars can go even faster in qualifying at Indianapolis this year. They are getting really close to the qualifying record.

I’ll never forget how 76 year old Morgan Shepherd raced his way into the top 15 that year at the Brickyard Xfinity race because of this package
