Watched the first episode (trying to practice self control) and really like it. If we can get one of these every year for the playoffs, it’d do wonders for the sport, while keeping away the toxicity F1 has from drive to survive
Netflix had better promote Full Speed just as much as drive to survive or I’ll sue
I see a lot of ads for it on Facebook but then again I like other Nascar content so that could be why I am seeing it. Also had a Youtube ad for it on another video which was not Nascar related but for video games.
For longest time people thought he was also a spotter lol
To be fair there is a Josh Williams spotter
@@jakehobby3477 that’s what I meant lol
Some rambly predictions about who might get starts in the 16 besides Almendinger and Williams…
Brennan Poole- Made some cup starts for RWR last year, and having a closer alignment with Chevy racing for APR this year, I could see it.
Sam Mayer- Took off in 2023 with 4 wins, and I expect more in Xfinity this year. I would be interested to see what he could do in a cup car.
Austin Hill- While Hill isn’t getting a full time Kaulig cup ride like was rumored before it was announced that he was returning to RCR in Xfinity, he could get some cup starts in the 16. He did have some starts in the 62 at the superspeedways, Michigan, and oddly the roval, but with Alfredo taking the 62 for at least two races, he could get seatime elsewhere- I would guess the 16 or the RCR 33.
Ty Dillon- He’s not exactly an exciting driver, but he has sponsorship from Ferris Mowers, and plenty of cup experience. I think he has a good chance at getting a few more cup starts, especially if he does well in the 25 truck.
Christian Eckes- This one is a little out there, but Eckes had a pretty great season in trucks this past year. Drivers have been saying the trucks drive closer to the next gen than the Xfinity car, so why not get him some seat time?
I think SVG will make at least some of, if not all, of his Cup starts in the 16 car. His sponsor Weather Tech is NOT listed as a Partner, like all their other sponsors are, on the Trackhouse website. That makes me think it’s because they’ll be sponsoring the 16 Kaulig Racing car instead of the Trackhouse 91 car. I also agree that some of the drivers you listed could make some starts in the 16 car, too.
So happy for Josh Williams. Liked him ever since he was on dale jr’s podcast
Was a ton of fun coming on, love being able to discuss the new season!!!
Hell yeah!
I just realized that I have the same headphones lol
I’ve been watching your videos for a long time but I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen your face lol
Truex will disappoint this year… Zane Smith is my big dark horse
I feel that no matter what Bowman does people just find an excuse to hate on him. If he wins “Oh it was just a fluke he’s trash.” If he crashes “How can he suck this much he’s a Hendrick driver?”
I feel he’s gonna perform better this year, he’ll make the playoff and get at least 1 win, maybe 2 at most. He’s never really gotten the chance to be his own person imo, they always compare him to his teammates or the drivers that he replaced.
Fans think the cool thing is too hate on Hendrick drivers, so ofc Bowman is gonna get hate even if he’s done nothing wrong. Which he hasn’t.
its all serious swagger when watching nascar’s netflix show… until FOX’s goofy ahh clash broadcast comes on a few days later
Can’t wait for my favorite drivers to become cartoons and leave the new audience confused
I hope NASCAR Full Speed is a HUGE success
A lot of Bubby in first 3 episodes. DEI in full effect. Otherwise decent, but only 5 episodes?? If NASCAR follows modern culture, you’ll be folding up shop in 5 yrs, tread lightly, let em race, promote racing, not diversity. That will take care of itself. .
@@JSkunk3223most of that didn’t make much sense, but it makes sense that they would follow bubba a lot since he was a big story this past year
Josh Williams isfeom Florida. Who from Florida drove for kaulig? A melon farmer named Ross. What’s that guy doin again? Oh yeah. He’s condensing for championships for trackhouse. Florida men and kaulig are just the perfect combo.
Is is just me, or did I see you in Episode 1 of Full Speed at 32:04 in the 11 pit box?
Now we need a full Double E docuseries lmao
Since they brought Nascar Mexico series to LA this year, maybe they return the favor, & do the Clash in Mexico City next year.
It came full circle for Josh Williams from parking in Atlanta for Xfinity to his 1st (points race) Cup start in Atlanta. I like the analyst segment. The NASCAR Hall of Fame Ceremony and Rolex 24 helped get me pumped and ready for this NASCAR season.
That’s not what coming full circle means.
I don’t think Josh Williams deserves a Cup ride, even part time, but I am happy for him and hope this shows the rest of the drivers that having a personality pays off. Too many of the drivers in the series act like cardboard cutouts of one another. Josh Williams stood out by being himself and it paid off.
NASCAR owes you guys! I probably wouldn’t be following the sport in the off-season if it wasn’t for Eric and TheIceberg.
I loved seeing The Iceburg as your guest! You need to have Bologna Burger on next!
I’ll never forget The Iceberg incorrectly predicting William Byron missing the playoffs in 2023, when I predicted he’d win 6 races….. lol
