Complete paint booth, but I’ll accept a quality racing game

Physics, manual pit driving, good AI, and a stable online multi-player.

We need good AI, no bugs, a decent career and a paint booth. To add to this, the AI should also be able to wreck in a way that’s natural and realistic, heck, let them cause the big one with eachother if it’s natural and not done in a buggy or broken way.

Iracing does have quite good Ai as it is so if they can incorporate some of that theres a good chance

Paint booth is a secondary issue. Not necessary… the other things you mentioned are correct.

Would’ve love a NASCAR game with great physics where sometimes a car doesn’t collides with another and behave like a ramp buggy from GTA Online. Which is, one of the things what I’m hoping for this game.

I might be the only one who thinks this but they should have a lot of the schemes we missed by not having a new game the last few seasons

I can guarantee you that iRacing NASCAR is a Very Close 2nd when it comes to games I’m looking forward to playing in 2025 (You can all take a wild guess what #1 is on that list) and I’m hoping All 5 Series is in the game with Xfinity, Trucks, ARCA and Modifieds as DLC Content at the very least

Things I would love back in a nascar game. Ordered from important to not required

1: Car Radar from nascar 11-15 VE
2: setups from the 13-15 VE.
3: Allies and rivals from thunder 04
4: exhibition races.

@TactShooter February 9, 2024 at 1:01 am

1. The ability to customize drivers stats
2. Mod Support for Paint Schemes
3. A dedicated Stat Tracking Page
4. Progressive Ratings
5. Owning Your Own Team, Hire Drivers, Change Manufactures etc
6. Friend/Foe Rival System for AI Drivers. If one driver wrecks another there is going to be retaliation
7. Fantasy Tracks (Backwards Talladega, Old Spice Raceway, etc)
8. AI drivers will bump you out of the way if you are blocking too much
9. The Game booting Radman offline whenever he logs in

We also need lightning challenges from the thunder games and heat games to return!

Reply
@Beamer66 February 9, 2024 at 2:22 pm

No 9 is so important, Radman is an embarrassment to the Nascar community, his gameplay commentary is like a 5 year old.

I just want something I can sit down and have fun with. iRacing has a reputation for being a little on the sweaty side, and I just do not have the time or the energy to get good enough to not ruin everyone else’s day. Give me something I can turn on and play with my kids without teaching them any new 4 letter words. The Heat games were not it.

@nomadman5288 February 9, 2024 at 12:59 am

They could do both. Arcade mode and Sim mode and somewhere in between “simcade” mode.

@gatling2166 February 9, 2024 at 1:27 am

@@nomadman5288Both would be fine. Hell, it could even lean a little closer to the sim side of things, so long as there was an offline option.

All a Good game for me needs is, Good career, ignition paint booth, roster changes, and multiple paint schemes for every car.

It’s pretty sad when we just want a functioning game at this point. With iRacing at the helm though, the game should be good.

It’s best if we remain skeptical and ask questions until we start seeing gameplay, long demo videos, and ultimately, the finished product on full display

Reply
@shadowlancerracing February 9, 2024 at 1:11 am

We need to see gameplay to make a real judgement of the upcoming NASCAR game but put it this way, it’ll be an upgrade from anything Motorsport Games have ever done.

One thing to keep in mind everyone. Because its a console game this cannot be at the level of IRacing, for everything. Iracing when cranked up can be a significant load even on top end PCs and the consoles are not near that level of raw performance. So Measure your expectations they will be limited by the consoles essentially available horsepower to run the game. I am sure they know that and will still make a great game just don’t expect a full scale sim experience like IRacing

@redlineoverloadproductions8391 February 9, 2024 at 1:45 am

I love that Monster Games is getting support from Iracing, What that also means is that the cars are gonna be a handful to drive. Like they are gonna take some time to get used to and develop skill to drive them on the edge. I’m excited.

Something that’s not mentioned, they opened a dedicated chat in the official NASCAR discord server asking what we hope to see in the game, and they’ve had great responses and feedback both ways

one somewhat overlooked aspect to the recent NASCAR games is the incredibly mediocre soundtracks – think about what the first things you remember are about the great games from the 00s, they all had solid soundtracks with licensed songs from well known artists that gave them that extra bump of energy and adrenaline; times are different now with what’s available that is currently being released in the music industry but it’s something I hope they can at least start in the right direction on with their first game.

The engine matters. But it does NOT determine the quality of the game. Developers can make great games with unity, unreal and their own game engines. Nice update video iceberg! Very excited for the next NASCAR game, hope it’s not another copy paste bland series!

TL;DR: Development of the NASCAR console game is to be headed by Monster Games, the same people behind the NASCAR Heat series, the WoO game and the SRX game. Assets—and likely physics—from iRacing are to be used in Unreal Engine.

Chase For The Cup 2005 is the last Nascar game l enjoyed. So twenty years later I might be excited for a game again. Hope the career mode has better stat keeping and a trophy room. Also, it be nice if they release around the Daytona 500.

I love the career mode in that game it is a progressive career mode, it starts in 2004 and runs 20 years through 2023 and it is awesome.
