Duel 1. Wreck made duel 2 compete for most entertaining.
Definitely Duel 1, some mistakes for Duel 2 typical racing at Daytona in my opinion! Blocks are a part of this type of racing!

Generally rules are much more relaxed on cable so they can get away with a bit more. Also overall regulations have been relaxed as well.
Does anyone know why they went from 43 to 40 cars? I know it’s been like that for years but why did they go down?
It was part of the agreement when they made the charter system. As a result, the point system was modified to a 35-1 system, with an additional 5 points to the winner for a total of 40 points to win the race, and 1 point apiece for 36-40 finishing positions.

Just curious as to what you feel was concerning on blocks that occurred? I feel like the block is what triggered the Blaney incident, but to me that’s just part of aggressive racing. Earnhardt would’ve called it “rattling their cages”
RWR had speed, granted it’s daytona, but out of the gate they showed improvement over the past few years even at super speedways

am I the only one who finds this modern plate racing harder to enjoy. its a total crapshoot. the cars sound muted and look slow. ive spent the offseason getting in these youtube commentary channels and watching old races and have really been anticipating the 500. its just nothing like the compelling action we saw in the early 2000s or even early 2010s. the duels had a couple fun moves, but you got the feeling a lap later the field looks totally different again. how is that racing? i miss when 4 or 5 cars used to be vying for the top spot out of skill and good car prep
The 500 will start like duel 1 and end like duel 2..lol…duels were good…looking forward to the 500…Felt really bad for BJ…and what about RWR…suprising…practice.. practice.. practice and televise it
