This feels like a 2020 August Daytona moment for the schedule, don’t think they’re ever gonna willingly drop the back to back drafting tracks to start the season
As amazing as this race was I agree
i am so worried for the future of the sport
NASCAR is probably gonna order every single cookie cutter track to become this essentially
In a car that was clearly struggling to keep pace with the front end damage acting like a parachute, Bubba did an awesome job to hold off Chastain and everyone else behind him while everyone, especially Chastain behind him, were making incredibly aggressive moves and he almost got turned sideways a few times but held onto it and made himself three lanes wide to hold his position. Two top 5’s in a row. Both of his first two seasons at 23XI he’s started slow and had to catch up, knock on wood this excellent start will hopefully be a jumping off point for his confidence to be where it needs to be and he’ll continue to run at the front and collect top 5’s and 10’a and be in position to get a W and lock himself in. Go Bubba!
The racing was good, and I think we seen them at the end there racing like real professionals not a total crash fest at the line AND no one really doored anyone. Pretty awesome
I didn’t want more super speedways but after that race and the other Atlanta races on the new configuration… it’s time for Texas to be reconfigured as well.
This was a fantastic race
but god
I am so freaking worried about the future of the sport
this race became special due to how different it is
we do not need more plate races
keep it at where it is now
please
for the love of god
closest finish in the Cup Series since 2011. What a race what a finish. Happy to see Daniel Suarez get back in the winners circle and win his first oval race. And is this the first time in NASCAR ever the Cup Series ever we had 40 or more lead changes in back to back races.
So Todd Gilliland wins most laps could of maybe won the race. … And barely no one speaks of him? Wow he is such a underdog good thing i see him unlike others.
I can’t believe I’m saying this in 2024: but the new configuration Atlanta is my new favorite track! I’ve never seen such fast, close, agile racing in my 25 years of watching this sport. Whatever the opposite of a train is, that’s what this race was. 10/10
would’ve joined the stream if it wasn’t for me waiting for a rideshare after the race lol, but had a blast seeing this irl! amazing racing and got some fun pics as well during stage 3 😀

Cindric came alive tonight!!!!!
Lost the race for Blaney though
I thought the main portion of the race only was pretty good. Every lane was kinda losing its power after a few seconds. Finish was incredible tho

Todd Gilliland had such a good race going
I treat nascar racing like horse racing and ill pick a car i like. I choose cindric and he was the MAN during the second and last stage. 4 wide!
I was there with my brother, this was my first ever nascar race in person. It was amazing.

we have seen the Big One in back to back races for the first time since 2017.
Briscoe was an absolute menace tonight and I loved it.
It was incredible race! I was there! One of the best races ever
Great race in person

Finish of the year, YES. The rest of the race was a wreckfest. Glad no one got hurt
