NWP – Atlanta Classic, Suarez Locks In, More SHR Penalties, and Glovegate

LIKE GOAL: 400

We are only less than a month into the 2024 NASCAR season and we may have already had our race of the year with the closest Cup finish in the last 13 years. Add to all that the penalties to Ryan Preece and Noah Gragson as well as the Glovegate Joey Logano situation and we have a jam packed episode heading to Sin City.

Is it just me, or is NASCAR stealing the script from 2005? The #24 wins the Daytona 500. At Atlanta, there’s a SUPER early big one, and the #99 wins in a photo finish. Carl Edwards had to beat Jimmie Johnson in the #48. Suarez had to beat 2 cars. Those TWO cars were the #12 and the #8. 12 × 8 = 96. 96 ÷ 2 = 48. If the script continues, there is hope for Bowman fans at Vegas……….

If Atlanta slowly turns back to how it was, I’m fine with Texas becoming a superspeedway. They’d just have to go back to the intermediate package at Atlanta.

I’m watching this episode late since I was at a comedy club tonight, and Darian’s mess up at the lightning round confused me so much

I was skipping through the Super Chat Stage Break to complete the stream quicker, and when Darian messed up, I was like, “Ughhh, really. I missed it? Welp, have to go back.” And I went back two or three times before I just let the video play and realize that it wasn’t the end of the Lightning Round

Gosh dangit Darian, but please, don’t change.

To be fair about your point at 18:51, don’t forget that every time a track is reconfigured to satisfy Cup only, it dies.

Nascar needs to move more races over summer to Saturday nights, also would be a great idea to do nationwide and truck double headers for the tracks that dont have the best attendence

It’s called the Xfinity Series not the nationwide series

Nascar original tie (declared .001) was 2008 New England 100 for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour at New Hampshire. Look it up.
