What are your thought on Dale Jr moving from NBC to Amazon Prime?
Massive NBC L
TNT also. What about those who cannot afford Prime or internet for their houses

Bs
It means that amazon really means business. Now they need a tried and tested Play by Play and a Crew Chief to Look at the technical side. Maybe they snatch Steve Letarte from NBC too?
So does this mean we’re gonna get Prime Dale Jr?
Lame

going to be such a different feel to not see or hear him with NBC. I felt like that was his home. =(
A shame Universal didn’t outbid Amazon when they had the chance. Peacock is MILES CHEAPER than Amazon Prime’s cheapest tier
I’m not a Dale Jr fan my any means but that’s the worst move that NBC has done since replacing Allen Bestwick with Bill Webber in 2005.
Bill Weber replaced Bestwick because Bestwick had a leg injury
Listen I got mad at Dale Jr., last year and was a bit frustrated at him, But I agree with Jaret this is the worst move that NBC has done since basically by the news story from 2006 of calling us fans racist courtesy of Dateline. That was really stupid from them, and I can’t forgive that years, later, But also I was only in my early teens when that happened. But I can also see that when they swapped places between AB and Bill Weber that was controversial. Even though they still worked there despite that.
@@BogLoud Partially true. That happened late in 2004, Bestwick came back to the booth for the final 3 races in 2004 and THEN the change was made.
Bill filled in for 2 races in 2004 while Allen recovered from his injury, but then in 2005, they made it permanent.
Bil Weber was the worst.
NBC playoffs just take a big hit. Im bummed by the news, but good for Jr getting a new deal! He is the best in the business and deserves it. Huge get for amazon.
The Chase ratings in NASCAR were always low even with Jr
To be fair, NBC puts more races on cable in the most important races (playoffs) instead on free tv.
Not with those high rates they charge. 20 bucks for Prime MONTHLY??!! That’s almost 240 YEARLY! No way anyone’s gonna fork over that cash
I don’t mean the ratings, I mean the broadcast.
Nobody has ever matched this chemistry and Nobody ever will. That 4 man booth was legendary beyond comparison.
Dale Jr the face of this sport can not get a nbc job. That’s just sad.
Jr. made this decision. IMO, the 2025 tv package won’t have NBC in it. All of this is My opinion. ❤
@@jennyfletcher5573NBC is already signed to the next TV deal…
And they left Jr out of it. That’s the dumbest move NBC has done
Great news for Jr, but bullshit that Amazon Prime is taking over for five races in 2025. Very similar to the most recent NFL season, where you had to have a subscription to see the Thursday night games. I can afford it but some people can’t.
I agree. I will be relying on my mom’s Prime subscription to be watching those races. I can afford it, but I’m not going to spend my money on Amazon Prime just to watch five races.
Actually, you can watch all the games that are streamed on Amazon Prime through the Prime Twitch channel (since Twitch is owned by Amazon) and Twitch is free to sign up for. Granted, the Twitch feed might be behind the actual feed, but I’m gonna be putting my stamp down that it’s gonna be the same way with NASCAR as well. They’d be *foolish* not to do that.
Thursday Night Football isn’t worth it. It’s mostly bad teams playing each other.
Ya. Sucks. Amazon is a cancer.
@@justinturley7071 You right, but I was just pointing out that Amazon would be *foolish* not to put NASCAR Cup racing on the Prime Twitch channel.
Dale JR and DW is one of the kind and can’t replace
It’s a bummer mainly because it’s such a short run of races. I liked having him for an entire half of a season.
Well, Jr did say on his show yesterday he was not affiliated with a broadcast team or network this year and shared his opinion on the camera coverage of the Atlanta race.
Alan Bestwick needs to be in either the Amazon Prime/TBS/TNT booth and the lead guy for the Indycar races on NBC needs to be the lead guy in the NASCAR races for 2025.
Leigh Diffy
@@joshblack4291 yeah he will be great for the NASCAR booth on NBC
@@revrasheemstewartLeigh Diffy probably isn’t leaving IndyCar though so the other option could be Ralph Sheheen.
Dale Jarrett. He doesn’t scream like a little girl, which is what they have now. Thank God for the volume button when those 3 see a crash.
Thinking way ahead here, but i think Joey Logano is going to be the future of Nascar broadcasting.
Goodluck with that, nobody likes Joey “mitts” Logano
@@lolimadethisvid I’m not a fan, but go to a race and you’ll see that he has a large fan base. My opinion is based from the job he does broadcasting the Xfinity races, which is very good with analytics.
He was pretty good in the SRX booth. I think he’d do great in the Cup one.
I can see Logano as Harvick type in the booth definitely
Hell no, couldn’t handle that laugh for 3 hours
A lot of fans will miss Dale Jr on NBC I know I will. But Amazon has very deep pockets and I don’t blame him for going for the big bucks.
The big bucks that they overcharge us underpaid workers
I would like to give a big shout to Kelly for getting him to where he is now.
TV contracts must not be like the NFL where they are astronomical. Brutal they can’t retain names like Junior and Gordon.
Gordon left FOX because he went on to be the director of competition at Hendrick
And when big Rick H retires or God forbid leaves us…Gordon will probably become the CEO
Junior’s a knowledgeable historian and a savvy businessman for sure. But a lot of credit for his forward thinking in media and his financial acumen has to go to Kelley Earnhardt and Mike Davis.
Whatever is best for Dale is the way to go, NBC’s loyalty is that of Hyenas. Dale Alone is the sole judge of what’s best for him and family.
