Bless him. Dale was resistant to any change of his “norm”. Gave the man a car almost a full second faster, but because it wasn’t set up the way he thought it should he refused to drive it. Must be why he was called Iron Head.
If Dale was still around, He’d shake his head so hard at the kids around today.
This is a creepy yet amazing story.
One of those ‘test’ cars wound up being the Atlanta 2001 winner.
