Love it, lol
Im starting to think Tony will not be involved either. So maybe HAAS Hondaa
Honda would be awesome
@@jackolson8775understandable for Tony tbh.
But Gene Haas has a crappy track record of being a racing owner. His Haas CNC Racing team was not good, but then Tony made it better. His F1 team is trash.
He’s less of a racing owner and more of a businessman. Which is business, but he’s just not a good race team owner
During their Chevrolet tenure Tony Stewart in his 3rd year for SHR won 5 of the 10 playoff races during his iconic 3rd championship run (2011) that’s one reason they could return there
True
It’s just does Chevy have the space. Hendrick, Trackhouse, and RCR ain’t leaving anytime soon, and unless a tier 2 team like Kaulig or Spire left, I don’t think they’d have the space.
@@bighand15302002 was with a Pontiac 2005 and 11 were with Chevrolet
@@kadinsmith5182spire is definitely leaving for Honda.
If pro GM would level the playing that would not be necessary.
Still amazes me that Harvick won 9 races in a season compared to if SHR wins today, it’d be surprising all in a matter of 2 yrs.
4 years
@@dyland4237 he’s saying 2 years because 2022 was when it really went downhill, that’s where the sharp decline really came
They 3-4 drivers in the playoffs regularly. Now . . .
If that was all fallout from the Stewart-Ford friction . . . Wow.
imagine the comeback it would be if SHR and honda joined forces… tony stewart would laugh at all of us doubters
If I nickel for every time a person affiliated with Honda and/or SHR found success in the US’s biggest motorsports, I’d have 2 which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice (Danica won her lone indy race while driving a Honda, and if SHR finds success with Honda, then there you go)
It would make sense if Honda is coming in… Perhaps the timing isn’t a coincidence.
Honda isn’t coming in this quickly. That still likely a few years away, if ever.
Ford has back to back cup championships. People trying to blame Ford for SHR’s lack of success is just dumb.
@@MarcoStrange Kyle Busch got Toyota’s first Cup victory.
So awesome to see you get these opportunities with NASCAR. Just a kid making stop motion videos to a legit reporter essentially. Congratulations, Eric! You’ve earned it
Agreed. Also, he is well-spoken and genuinely loves racing. Polished and authentic.
I stopped paying attention to NASCAR, and got into Motogp a decade ago. Now I am kind of getting back into Cup (fwiw, I have a photo of the King holding me at the 75 Pocono race, six months old.), and out of the groove is my source. Eric should be proud of what he has built.
Thanks for kind words!
@@EricEstepp You’re very welcome! He has become a celebrity with people seeking him out & has had some great opportunities. Happy for him. So fun for him to have such a popular podcast
Ran to the comments to say the same thing! Awesome to see Nascar putting OOTG on
as a joey fan, i’m not worried. so long as the fords show speed on the 1.5 mile tracks he’ll be fine. + the speed he’s shown @ superspeedways will only help him in the long run, considerin there’s 2 of em in the playoffs
He’ll make the playoffs. Keslowski is who I am more worried for.
The Kyle Larson revenge tour was something I’ll never forget. Tony had to be punching holes in his house watching that bow tie stick it in the face of his Mustangs.
And he tried to sign Larson! Ford said no!

You act as if Larson would be winning races in a Stewart Haas car. Just like Larson did in his Ganassi bow tie, Larson would be struggling in the piece of crap cars that Stewart Haas prepares these days. Their Xfinity cars are great, but their Cup cars are Tier 3 quality. Briscoe and Preece are both very talented drivers, and they’ve been atrociously bad in the Cup series due to the equipment at SHR. The same would be the case if Larson drove for them. Larson made the right choice by going to Hendrick, which is a Tier 1 team and always fast. Poor Noah Gragson won’t do any better there than he did in the Legacy junk last year.
I knew this when Tony tried to get kyle larson and ford told him no. Bad blood there.
It was because Kyle said the slur word that Ford didn’t want him…
Do not forget Tony told Ford no deal on his NHRA funny car bodies
Congratulations on the invite .
Well deserved
Really nice Eric. Your hard work has started to pay off. Congratulations.
Worth noting that when SHR was with Chevy, they had an alliance with HMS, getting engines and car bodies.
Yes, and they won’t do it again. Kevin and Rodney were too good and HMS was getting outrun by them almost weekly.
Good point!
@@adambannon91Then they left and it was okay for a couple years and fell apart after 2020.
They were a satellite team and Tony especially wanted to become an independent team and build their own chassis and stuff
Congrats!! So happy for you. I knew 2 year’s ago when I found you that you were going places big. You are very good at what you do. Keep up the great work.
Ford Xfinity program in shambles.
Honestly I’m more curious about that than anything, considering the AM Racing and RSS cars are all SHR-affiliated.
Unrelated, I’m happy for you. To see where you’ve come from, to where you’re at with your channel and now doing live shoots before the race in phoenix, I’m happy for you. You’ve turned into the main source I turn to for ANYTHING nascar.
Really happy the Nascar experience stage got more shows, Happy for you Eric, this channel really made me love Nascar. Greetings from the Philippines (where everywhere is a super speedway)
I wish they still got points for leading laps. It’s been two super speed races, not worried about Joey yet. He’s had speed until wrecking.
Eric. You made my whole childhood with those nascar parodies. I’m also glad you still care for nascar stop motion based on your new intro. Keep up the good work.
A detail that is being overlooked: Briscoe has an out in his contract with the tv deal, he’s a Ford driver, and he’s driven for Brad K and Roush before. I could EASILY see a future where he ends up in a RFK car
My name is Ralph I am so glad to hear that good news that you got from NASCAR. I love your show. Listen to you every week. I hope you have great success.
Congratulations!!! When I started following you I was so impressed with how you explained things and researched your information that I shared your videos with my whole family of Nascar fans. You are who I follow for all my Nascar news and race updates when I can’t watch the race live!!! Great job ❤
