Larson might surpass Busch in Championships, but I’m not sure about win totals. Will depend on how long each careers last and if Larson switches to other racing series besides Nascar.
Larson is more interested in dirt racing, he might leave nascar earlier than expected to focus on that. NASCAR just pays the bills right now.

I think KB is as good as Larson on every track except road courses, so at this moment I would say Larson is the best driver.

Larson is more talented, Busch is more accomplished at the moment
I think people may not know, but KB helped create Kyle Larson and taught him about what is now known as the “Larson Line” (Look at the Nascar next reunion video)
I would say KB is the better driver right now, but Larson is VERY close. They are definitely the 2 most talented Cup Drivers right now. Larson could easily pass Busch if he wins another championship.
Or, all beit unlikely, an Indy 500 win, though this would honestly make him maybe the best racecar driver in the world, even over Max and Palou.
KB is the more accomplished, Larson is currently the better driver
If the question is ‘greatest driver in nascar’ then possibly Petty has a point.
However if the question is simply ‘greatest driver’ then it shows Petty has no idea what he’s talking about and isnt aware of Larsons dirt track accomplishments.

There is so much more to Kyle larsons greatness than just nascar stock car racing .. that’s what separates Larson from everyone else.. sprint cars, midgets, dirt late models….his upcoming indy 500 could and should just elevate his legendary status a bit more

I don’t think we will see Larson race at 38 he’s already said before he wants to race for a dirt championship I think he’s wanting 3-4 years tops and hoping to get a couple of championships before he hangs it up in cup.
