I think in a couple years svg is going to be a serious problem for Nascar. I mean great for the sport but he’s gonna show us what Australia has to offer as a driver. Kiwi season is coming.
I’m hoping Brodie Kostecki will come across and race NASCAR now that he’s not racing at Erebus coz he was seriously quick in his one appearance last year, and would have been in the top ten if not for having to swap to his backup car after qualifying.
Ambrose fans thought the same. He’ll be a contender on every single road course, He’ll learn super speedways but short tracks and intermediate He’ll be mid pack
@@_whyte.woods_1256true.. but the major difference now is that the cars are alot more alike so going from supercars to NASCAR is not such a foreign feeling. Giz having to be in XFINITY now is the biggest hurdle because they are still the older style car setup
@@GDA_Sam Yeah, that’s certainly true about Cup being more similar now. Pretty sure Super cars are solid axle though. But ovals are a different breed. You really need to feel comfortable throwing the car into that turn.
They should make a international league of sorts. Same cars. Same tracks. Just different races on the same weekend. So like if they’re at Vegas we’re at Phoneix.
I believe that’s kinda the plan for the (hopeful) return of the IROC Series
It was called the A1 World Grand Prix, drivers representing their nations all in the same cars. Only lasted 4years.
@@branco4979was it competitive at all? Cause barely any country’s outside US even have oval racing, or any type of racing done with Nascar
it was open wheel, so a bit different to nascar. Was fun to watch, each nations’ car was painted in national colours, drivers had to be from whatever country they represented. 2005 to 2009@@herrak3156
Happy to hear Ambrose get mentioned, I always enjoyed seeing him race, he was an animal on the road courses.
KH-Great Job!!!
i figured harvick would be pretty good at this, he’s been a guest in the broadcast booth for xfinity series for years now.
I hope it works out for SVG. He’s not going to get more than 10 career wins just because of his age and also international road racers are only good at road courses or maybe Indy (I think of Juan Pablo then). Still would be fun to watch and maybe he’ll prove me wrong.
makes sense all of the australian supercars series cars are practically nascar cars now
No it’s the other way around, nascar’s are more like Supercars now.
Uhh wrong,The cup car is basically an Australian supercar now,we’ve had cars like this for YEARS
@@sriley064 don’t you have a new generation car ?
I much prefer the look of the NASCAR compared to the V8 supercar, and I’m an Aussie.
Harvick talks too much
Don’t like it then don’t watch it then simple enough
@@chubbypanda2715most logical comment on YouTube I’ve ever seen
He’s so much more relaxed and engaged with the media in the USA
He is a new man now. Loved watching him in V8’s especially in the wet but he always seemed awkward with interviews.
Is the Sim as good as actual practice on a track?
In a word,NO but it can help you get close what you need to do
Bathurst for instance had cars running 5-7 seconds faster in race conditions than real life, part of that is not needing to fear for your life im sure
SVG is so much more relaxed .Best thing SVG ever done leaving V8 Supercars
Kevin Harvick has a wonderful method of eliciting answers about driving from other drivers, this was a fantastic interview. Thank you!
Kevin is a natural doing the media gig
