I’m thinking 1000#’s is mighty high. Most regular vehicles are around 100 foot pounds!

NASCAR needs to go talk to Indy Car and F1 about single lug tire changing. They never have issues with tires falling off.
I believe that the fix for single lug nut over tightening is to set to set those lug nuts gun to a certain torx when installing those lug nuts and full power when removing lug nuts.
Might not be a way to do that with the guns they have as might be just be 1 setting
