He was lucky tbh, running 19th/20th til the big one, came out of that in 11th/12th, then made up 5 or 6 spots on the green-white-checkered at the end

@@philleotardo_o lucky that a crash occurred that let him capitalise on it. From there it was a lot of skill to avoid the crash and then drive through to 6th – not bad for a guy not used to oval track racing
Watch from NZ, and I’m new to roundy roundy circuits. I found it quite boring. But I thought it doesn’t matter how SVG starts the race, it’s where he finishes that matters. It’s normal that he sits at the back, and makes his way to the front at the finish line. Same strategy used on Aus. I’m expecting the same again at COTA. When he is dialed in, the dude is SaVaGe.

Totally unnecessary caution for Deegan caused all the competition for Allgaier to crash besides Smith. Glad Smith won or else this race would have had a lower grade. 4/10 race. Some good batting in the first half but nothing in second half…
Smith’s been running very good in the Gibbs car. Could he be called up to make some starts in the 23XI 67 car
