Please do Charlotte Miami or Darlington
I’d love Charlotte but unfortunately it’s an SMI track so that’s not happening
Darlington would be good.
@@theetravismiller6183agreed
I would love Darlington
NASCAR isn’t giving up their finale date to an SMI date.
I would be glad to see a new track as the championship. Definitely hood it’s a 1.5 mile. Phoenix just doesn’t have the hype imo
500 mile night race at Kansas. Take it or leave it.
@@TheHighRoad1748 Or even a 500 mile race at Charlotte. The racing has been great with the next gen car.
@@lemonjuicegaming6551championship race will be only be at a nascar owned track ❤
@@TheHighRoad1748TAKE IT
@@tbgaming4199So no Kansas either?
Removing the championship race weekend from Phoenix!?! Hell to the yeah!
Amenities be damned, Homestead is Superior in almost every way to Phoenix.
I do think it should be back at Homestead or at the very least at a track where drivers can actually pass
There’s few options that are NASCAR owned tracks That are decent weather for November
Homestead’s nickname is North Havana.
I did not enjoy racing in that area, but then maybe it was my experience that informed me.
I formerly worked with two former Cuban nationals that escaped Cuba as children with their families and grew up in the shadow of the track, before escaping their Cuban refugee neighborhoods with their lives, but brought with them their Cuban survival attitudes intact to their new home in Las Vegas. One was my boss and one was my peer. Both were ruthless. My boss was the milder of the two, but even he had a temper he hid for the most part, along with he was passive aggressive in his vindictiveness. The other would stab you with his machete just as well as look at you.
Both of them saw everything drawn down racial lines and both were totally prejudice. I walked softly around both of them and bit my tongue.
Of course my job as a Construction Superintendent was expectant that I was the opposite, but to survive I had to constantly maneuver and check myself.
If you go to Homestead, watch yourself.

I’m thinking I hit a nerve.
@@johnhaas2523 You keep saying it has to be a Nascar owned track. Marcus Smith is very creative, & has a lot of money. Never say never. Also listen to what Tommy Joe Martins says at 12:55. More power!
Phx outside of reatarts is a great race for naps.
Yeah I actually was able to get two 100 lap naps and on this race
@@driverslqqk7940 I only got a single 75 lap snooze – dam’ spam phone call!
Yeah I took a nap and skipped through the middle of stage 1 to the middle of stage 2 and then another until there were 26 laps left
I hope that Homestead gets the championship back. Phoenix shouldn’t be the finale but if they wanted to rotate it I would love to see that as well. Imo the championship race should be in Florida specifically Miami. The vibe in Miami and the market is where you should hold an event like that.
It should rotate between fair weather tracks during that time of the year like the Super Bowl. To spread to different areas allowing different fans to attend a championship race. And to ensure higher funded teams like Hendrick and Penske don’t put extra money to focus only on Pheonix.
I would like to see Phoenix be in a rotation, Homestead getting championship weekend dates again would be nostalgic and good too, and for the sake of chaos, while Nascar would have to buy it from Speedway Motorsports, I will always support the idea of the championship being the Bristol night race. Imagine the last 2 weeks, after a long and grueling season at mile and a half tracks, being at Martinsville as the last chance to make the Championship 4 and it all coming down to Bristol. Both races under the lights. Making sure that short tracks, while not as many as the mile and a halves, are still as important as ever.
They will never put at Bristol or a track that could end up being a wreck fest. It’ll probably be a 1.5 mile track or a mellow short track. That’s why I think they like phoenix.
funny how we just had another mid phoenix race with the new aero changes that nascar is now considering to throw the towel and go back to homestead
because it’s easier to change track dates on the schedule than it is to admit they are wrong on some of their aero package choices, or on their refusal to up the horsepower, or both.
Nascar can’t be wrong
They don’t listen to the drivers or teams. Nascar is always right
Man I think 800 hp on short tracks and road courses and phx it would be awesome
@@needsLITHIUMI don’t understand why NASCAR is holding off the horsepower. They have an excuse for super speedways, but I don’t see one with short tracks.
@@heemanmcspeed your guess is as good as mine, tbh.
I think the venue should change every year honestly. I don’t want a restrictor plate race to be the championship race but change it up to keep the teams from specializing on one specific track for the championship.
Yes please. Honestly would like to see it be on a bit of a rotation
I like your theory Eric – and an added sweetener for NASCAR, if they follow your rotation and make the updated Auto Club the 2026 finale it gives them an additional 8-9 months to finish the rebuild. Plus the promotional benefits that would come from the ‘return to (new) Fontana for the finale’
Lets see the configuration of Auto Club before any suggestion of a finale there,
Also, the SO Cal fans must EARN it.
If they continue to sow up disguised as empty seats, it is OVER. NASCAR should just lick its wounds and either eliminate the date or move the event to another market
@@patersonplankrd Auto Club sold out it’s last race there, and it’s crowds have consistently been good since it went back to having just one race.
It’s almost as if removing downforce doesn’t automatically improve racing.
Contracts prevent Charlotte from hosting, but damn the Coca Cola 600 would be an epic finale
Nah needs to stay memorial day weekend
One 600 but do a 500 with champ??? Take out the Roval?
One problem is Goodyear I think. They keep bringing tires that don’t fall off. And what we are on year 3 of this car. You would think they would figure it out at some point.
Or do they actually want to figure out the tire if they keep bringing Tire after tire they keep making more money why would that just have one tire when they can keep making more and more there’s too many things going on that you don’t know and one of them is NASCAR I’d love to be a fly on the wall in their meeting house and the politics that they cook up I’d probably scare you as much as Joe Biden let’s go Brandon
Did anyone notice on the SHR Twitter account that someone was putting a Ford puzzle together?
I personally think one of the problems with the 10 car at SHR was the driver the last couple years chasing a big Smithfield check. Gragson has passion and something to prove.
Literally the only thing stopping me from being 131% on board with returning to Homestead is that the Xfinity finales have been so good at Phoenix. But besides that, I’d certainly love the return to Homestead for Championship Weekend, especially since I only started watching NASCAR right as the finale switched to Phoenix. (Even if you can only have so much of it at night when Sunday Night Football is hanging over them, although I never heard of that causing many problems besides in 2015.)
They just need to change it to a track where the championship is’nt gonna be decided on pit lane which is the only place they can pass
@eric You could do an alternate power ranking of whole teams. Looking at the next track, which organization has the best chance to win? Hendrick vs JGR vs RFK vs Trackhouse, etc.
