At the end of the day expectations will be higher from Ford also. Todd knows that if he doesn’t get the job done his job could be in jeopardy with Ford having more say . If SHR changes manufactures Brisoe will be looking for a new home and either the 34 21 or 38 could come into play. Gilliland has a one year contract btw .
I’d say he’s already bought himself another year. He’s had the best start to a season he’s ever had in terms of on-track performance. If he can execute a few solid finishes going forward he might have even longer with FRM. They believe in him, and he’s finally showing that it might not be misplaced.
If shr changes manufacturers I wonder if ford will support rwr and wood brother with teir 1

Gilliland has been outperformed by his teamates every year since he left the K&N West series. I don’t get the hype
you dont understand much, it takes a while for him to grasp it and Michael McDowell isnt a rookie is he i think hes been around 7 years? IN those 7 years … wasnt he just recent years gotten good? I mean his rookie year in #00 Michael Waltrip cars i mean wasnt he wrecking alot or failing to qualify? So …. umm .. yea Todd’s young takes a bit each year he keeps getting better. And its not like he is in top tier equipment the speed is there and improvements to performance but if your not A Hendrick or Gibbs or Penske not people dont care. But these other teams like Front Row Todd etc has done alot better than most .. Again look at Michael McDowells seasons from RoOKIE like i mention to now took years and years to get good then win or has Michael McDowell been a TOP Tier and winning car for all his years if say yes it be a lie.
Also THE GREAT KYLE BUSCH dominant in the Busch series.. But ummm how was he in his Rookie season do you all forget? #84 Kyle Busch Hendrick cars… didnt he um … fail to qualify alot ? Uhhh … umm yess? Jimmie Johnson .. i remember his first years in cup wrecking a good portion.. But nawww when rushed through TRUCK and Cup2 different types of vehicles and YOUNG dont forget .. You got to learn and grow. But no in this new era of fans they say you go to cup and you better be a star overnight .. How about YOU Try it.
Todd each year even in Trucks each year he does better or shown big improvements then the piror year. Most in Cup that is great drivers many of them yet has done anything look at Harrison Burton who IMO didnt do better than Todd the last portion of races in KY LE BUSCH team and he finishes 1 ahead of Todd in points gets elevated to XFinity to Grow wins a few has sponsors. To protect him Gets rushed to Cup and didnt he finish below Todd when no one had any FAITH IN him? The team everyone looked at Todd as just lets rush him because we have 0 faith in the man no one cared or even thought of Todd. But us who SEE Talent young drivers like me. No mattter what Todd has shown time and time again the man is a fighter he each race tries his best to give what he can with his cars not wreck best he can not anger no one. The man already has done better than most drivers in 3 years the BIG HYPE OF ZANE OH ZANNEE … .. yea .. not to knock him, but even in Todds Rookie season hes been doing alot better than Zane, and isnt Zane in better equipment? But its early. But … people didnt care about Todd but Todd has done something many failed to do early in his cup carrer in smaller team and a Driver no one had any care for or thought of he went out there got decent finishes top 10s and always showing up where can to make sure people remember him when no one give a dang.
i like the toddler, i hope front row sticks with these guys for as long as they can because they have a very solid crew behind them
I look forward to how far FRM takes this momentum. It’s funny to think they had Nemechek in 2020 who elected to drop back to Trucks for a better development program
I’ll be curious how this season pans out for that 42, cause that 38 is doing much better even if the results don’t reflect that. Likely he’s waiting for Truex to retire to hopefully get that 19, but it is surreal how much four seasons can change things

Guys huge news, sports business journal just released an article saying Rick Allen is getting replaced by Leigh Diffey midway through the NBC part of the season (after olympic break)
