I’m pretty sure the only reason Phoenix became the finale is because it was from all the rescheduling and they just… left it there for some reason. It’s inevitable that they’ll go back to Homestead for the finale, we just don’t know when.
Okay look I’m glad I’m not sure but if it does go back to homestead I’m definitely going back to the championship race watching it on TV because it’s kind of bland
Hot take Homestead is not a good track for the finale. The track is not universally even. Some drivers are just all out dominant at that track, its an easy way for an undeserving champion to be crowned. It should be at a track that mimics most of the ones on the schedule. Kansas, Charrlote, ChicagoLand, Michigan etc all fit the entire cup series skill set. May the best driver of the year win not the best at this one track

Atlanta was the final race for years. That would be an interesting final race given the style of racing there now.
It’s an SMI-owned track. NASCAR wants full control over the finale.
That is a terrible idea. As good as that track is, I don’t want a plate track to decide the champion
Finale has to take place at a NASCAR owned track or there could be so many other better places
