I’m a Hamlin fan, and the answer is no. Denny’s got a lot of great wins, but he has zero championships and is MANY wins behind Petty, Earnhardt, and Johnson on the all-time list. He’s easily one of the great hall-of-famers, but anyone putting him in the GOAT conversation is stupid or trolling.

Its wild that even if under the old points system Hamlin still doesnt win a title. Ive been watching Hamlin since he was in the Xfinity series in 2004 and when i say he came out of nowhere he literally did late in 2005. The rest is history. He is a HOF for sure but he needs at least 3 to be in the convo and he has zero. Its crazy because hes literally won EVERYTHING but a title in Cup. Crazy

Absolutely not. I believe one of the prerequisite boxes that need to be checked is a championship, if not, multiple championships. He’s never stepped up when on the biggest of stages. GOATs step up time after time and prove themselves. He hasn’t.

Ok forgot about giving so much credit to denny for being the best driver at saving his tires. All 4 Gibbs cars ran 1-2-3-4 all day long, cleary their cars were set up better to save the tires. Dennys only competition was his own teamates, they had the cars that could last the lifespan of the tires. hell they nearly had the whole field a lap down, gimme a break
