My lunch wouldn’t be complete without this
Kinda shocking how Carson Hocevar has been outperforming Zane Smith by THIS much
As well as Todd Gilliland running great this year proving front row motor sports right
Could you see Zane getting Dumped just as fast as he got picked up? Especially if this trend continues? Interesting to see for sure
I’m not surprised but I was hoping Zane would be able to get better results.
Hocevar is more talented imo
For get Zane Smith, he outruns Lajoie pretty often
I feel bad for Zane Smith. He’s really had a terrible start to the year
I feel bad that his reaction time is so dogshit. Couldn’t imagine living a life lagging behind mentally like that.
Even though he finished 16th Blaney has been the most consistent of everyone so far this year. In the Mix at Daytona with winning speed & been in the Top 5 or 10 every race since. Blaney proving he’s still the favorite & hopefully he can get some W’s
Chastain is right there will Blaney, just no win.
@Michael-Styles As a Chastain fan I respect the hell out of Blaney. Chastain is an aggressive driver and I think the field is coming to grips with that. I love seeing Chastain ruffle the feathers though, Nascar needs that!!
@@rebelsoul5980 I like both, but I’m rooting for Blaney to win this fiasco haha.
The problem with Zane is the little mistakes he keeps making and keeps brushing the wall which destroys the toe link. He did that twice by Vegas and Atlanta. I think if he can just keep it clean I think he can do alot better
Exactly. He’s very talented. This weekend he just didn’t hit the brakes which caused him to run into Reddick.
And then with Bristol he just couldn’t go anywhere when Reddick spun
@@acedelta12 Also that, but he had some time there to do more than that. I believe Eric said that too.
@@acedelta12 He has a brake pedal.
@@GrandpaSharkAnd he used it when he saw the gap had closed.
I really consider this year three for Ty Gibbs. I know by definition he’s a Sophomore but he ran like half the races in 2022. Not taking away from his success this year, he’s been great. But he’s had 58 Cup starts already.
Good point.
Stewart/haas are doing way better it seems there headed in the right direction
Ikr? Especially Noah Gragson.
Another person I would say has been a pleasant surprise is Ryan Blaney. Throughout his time in cup he’s had a large problem with being consistent while still being able to win but this year he’s been lighting it up with multiple top 5s and good finishes overall showing that championship speed
Honestly I can say the same for Chastain, though I will have to wait come playoff time
You know who is surprising me the most? No one is talking about Rick Ware Racing. They’re having a good season and haven’t got a DNF yet.
They haven’t won a race yet.
@@gianthand8130No, but they have been running top 20s this season.
They’re essentially RFK cars now so I’m not actually that surprised. Brad even helped lead the Haley to RWR recruitment
@@gianthand8130is that really your standard for a decade long start and park team finally making some level of improvement?
@@gianthand8130penske hasn’t won yet. Your point?
I was super impressed with how RWR has been way more competitive at non-superspeedways. Justin Haley was in the top 10 a lot at Bristol.
As a huge SVG fan, him learning as fast as he has, has me very excited for his future in NASCAR. I would not be surprised at all if he goes out and wins one of, hell, maybe even sweeps COTA on Sunday
Super high expectations but gosh I hope so
Don’t expect that
Being a Logano fan this year has been tough. Most of it is not even Joeys fault. 3 DNF (one was his fault). He had winning speed at Daytona and Atlanta. He had a top 10 car at Vegas. Even at Bristol he had a Top 15 car imo.
Yeah
Painful
I’m loving seeing Todd Gilliland running so well. I like the young man. I was angry about him having to share the 38 last season.
Carson Hocevar is my rookie this season. I hope he has a long and successful career. Really hoping Spire keeps improving.
What about the Dillon brothers? Austin is 30th in points, 14 positions lower than Kyle Busch, despite all of the 8’s problems this year. Ty Dillon, meanwhile, is 24th and 121 points behind Tyler Ankrum. Oh and who saw Tyler Ankrum leading the points 4 races into the season?
Something interesting I noticed within the last 5 years is with cup drivers is that if they have an amazing season they will a horrible season next year and voce rosa, this has happen with Truex, Blaney, Both Busch Brothers, Hamlin & ECT.
The ratings is a great surprise. Let’s keep it rolling.
Super proud of SVG. Was hoping to see this kind of speed mid way through the year. Doing so much better than I thought.
Bubbas and Reddick are in the exact same position as kfb. Speed in practice, qualify well, run well…pit crew forgets how to do their job on the money stop and that’s all she wrote.
They got the speed, but damn that crew keeps holding them back.
Eric, another down for Busch is 3 straight races that he has finished outside the top 20, phoenix was a speed problem but Bristol and Vegas has been pit road issues and some issues on the track, there is a lot of work that needs to be done to the 8 team if they want to win, and as a KB fan this is very frustrating, we should be running in the top 10-15 consistently, not 20-30.
