Yeah I don’t understand that. Some corners you have to stay on the pavement but some you don’t…? What sense did that make?

Put tire walls where you don’t want them going

That’ll just end up getting someone hurt

Probably only at COTA, since it has to meet FIA grade 1. Other road courses on the schedule are self-policed by the nature that off track is usually not paved.

NASCAR you can’t officiate track limits at COTA? Your a BILLION DOLLAR industry I’m sure you can find the change laying around to pay a few track officials to monitor track limits or spend a couple bucks for software that will do it for you. But the same software and system F1 uses. This ain’t bootleggers running on the beach anymore this is why NASCAR is losing fans but Indy is growing. On track product is HOT GARBAGE

They could use whatever system they wanted but why would they want too? Why do we need every racing series racing the same? What’s honestly wrong with cars designed to run on larger tracks, race new lines? Personally I absolutely love NASCAR on circuit tracks. Its fun to watch 3,000lb goliaths jump curbs. They’re not ever gonna run close to Formula times, and forcing them to run on smaller track limits will only make them slower. Secondly you claim that NASCAR is losing fans, yet you think making them run slower lap times is the solution? Do you honestly think that NASCAR fans care about track limits?

with all the SMT and GPS data they have you’d think it shouldnt be that difficult to do it electronically or just simply pay some guys to be marshals

How to mandate track limits: put grass where you don’t want cars to drive

They can’t here , it was built to F1 standards. NASCAR has zero say in anything for this track .

I’ve never thought about track limits for racing quality, but my belief has always been if it’s there and my car can drive on it, I’m gonna use it.

I disagree, I think they should just put turtles or some kind of curb that hurts your speed in the esses and then they wouldn’t have to enforce the penalty

Other series races these tracks a lot cleaner . And makes for way better racing . Every turn will have action. Kevin is 100% correct

As a guy who grew up a die hard NASCAR fan but gave up on it…they try so hard to keep up with Formula racing now it’s now even funny.
