Petition to get eric to start a team
Estepp Motorsports. I like it.
Naw man then he wouldn’t have much time to do YouTube
@@kadinsmith5182i agree bro

A petition? Nah I would need $50M haha
No COTA shouldn’t be removed
2021- The Rain Race
2022-Chastain moves Allmendinger for his first win
2023- Byron and Reddick whoop the field
2024- Byron takes the field to school with Bell chasing him
This track is a good track
If you’re gonna remove a road course
Make the Roval the clash
We would all take COTA over TexASS
I doubt ISC/NASCAR is willing to let SMI have both the Clash and the All Star Race.
@@stephenholloway6893 true it’s just a thought tho if we want the Oval back in the playoffs
@Takingyoutojail Anything is possible but unless say they trade events and let NASCAR handle the All Star Race at one of their tracks I just don’t think they’ll be willing to let SMI have the Clash along with the All Star Race.
You may as well make the Roval the new Clash race if you want COTA removed from the schedule.
we need more Out of the Groove paint schemes!
Rockingham’s been talking about NASCAR
So what nascar couldn’t give a f***
Prly gonna be the All-Star Race either next year or in 2026.
I’m sorry but COTA should NOT BE OFF THE SCHEDULE. Last year for Cup it had more action than Watkins Glen, The Roval, and the Indianapolis RC combined. And Every year whether its cup, xfinity or truck, there is always something memorable. It’s becoming one of my favorite tracks and it should not be off the schedule. Just because the race was basically start to finish with no cautions doesnt mean it was a bad race. I don’t get the hate.
The only reason it had more action than the Glen was due to cautions, which you can’t bank on. Watkins Glen, overall, is a much better designed course for the NASCAR style cars.
@@nathan1sixteen ok good point there, but it had a hell of a lot more passing than the tracks that I mentioned
COTA shouldn’t be removed from the schedule, but maybe they need to switch over to the shorter track layout, like the Australian Supercars used to race on (that all of FOX made sure we knew about due to SVG). The current layout is simply too large.
Not any bigger than Road America and it has more passing zones. I don’t really get what the length has to do with anything. Watkins Glen was terrible last year, Sonoma was very average and they’re around 2 miles, give or take. There was nothing wrong with the race. It was an average race for any track. You can’t please everyone all the time.
Kurt Busch did say on social media he was “refired not retired” recently…just saying he could share a ride with a prospect for a year and then hand it off to him.
That would be wonderful for 23XI and NASCAR
I don’t see it happening with his health issues. Unless if he has all that cleared up, but I think his driving days are done
@@andrewmeyer4124 A boy(man) can dream(hope)!
Certain people complaining about COTA being built wrong, it wasn’t built for cup cars. It was built for F1 then Indy. NASCAR just happens to be there. But yes the officials need to lighten up
You make my point because COTA was built for F1. Cars that can corner quickly and accelerate fast off corners. NASCAR cars are too big and cumbersome for it. I like road courses, but stick to ones where the cars don’t have as many tight turns and some more track area for them to get up to speed like Sonoma, WG, and Road America. I’m sure there are others.
COTA getting cut from the schedule is a delusional idea, its time to cut a double-date track down to 1 cup points date. Probably either Richmond again or Darlington (i would ideally like it to be the allstar race).
Junior just doesn’t like COTA especially Xfinity series as his cars sucked
@@johnhaas2523 replacing it with North Wilksboro is the wrong idea, you’d end up spending too much of the time in the same region of the US, yeah thats were the majority, you’d be better making one of the other tracks go down to 1 race
COTA did have a pretty meh race this year but it’s still too unique of a track & venue to get dropped from the schedule.
In contrary to Dale, I really think that COTA brings a uniqueness to the schedule that other road courses don’t and that’s what makes it special. That “something” being it’s an F1 road course. I love that. I love that even in road courses you have specific unique aspects like how the Charlotte Roval is an infield road course & oval/road course hybrid track (not the best one though), Sonoma & Watkins Glen being traditional road courses, Chicago obviously being a street course, and COTA being a track that both Nascar and F1 use. And with the rumors of Nascar going international, that adds another aspect to the aforementioned list (that is if the rumors turn out to be true). I think we should have F1 tracks on the schedule. I think it sends the message of: “Hey, we’re not afraid of playing on your playground.” and it helps with Nascar’s track diversity portfolio.
I love COTA, the Esses in these cars is amazing to watch and just one year ago people were even considering it a crown jewel for the sport bringing over Jenson button, Kimi Raikkonen and Jordan Taylor. In my opinion it’s a car problem as this car is just too easy to correct mistakes like we’ve seen from the cars at the short tracks.
I like COTA but it has never been close to a crown jewel I have no idea where you heard that
Trackhouse may be BOTH teams looking for charters lmao I know a couple years ago Justin said “Three is the magic number” but I can easily see them becoming a 4-car team to try and become the “chaotic good” version to Hendrick’s lawful evil, and hell they have 5 drivers and 2 current seats.
HMS is lawful evil?
@@chasehavlik2213 Their owner is literally a felon.
As a nascar newbie…its interestin how races are determined by the ending, the last 5 minutes. As a newbie, i see the race and an ending. Cota great race, average ending, and thats okay. Was still a fun race to watch. Groovy gauge of 65-70 is appropriate. Nothing wrong w that.
I hate how whenever there’s a mid race fans call for the track to be removed. We had 3 great years of COTA and one mid race (MID RACE NOT BAD RACE) makes everyone want the track to be removed from the schedule never to be seen again
lol same for texas motor speedway
I said it before, I’ll say it again: The 2 Kaulig cup cars will be racing in the 2025 season under the Trackhouse banner, Kaulig will function as the Xfinity team for TH, much like HMS & JRM. I suspect the financials might be 40M cash for one charter and 40M buy-in to Trackhouse for the other charter.
278 days left till 2025.
I recall Justin Mark’s mentioning why he didn’t want a charter yet. He mentioned the wait for Featherlite trailer orders and other logistics and team building challenges before that is possible
People need to calm down in general regarding rule changes and track changes. We live in an era now where anytime a race isn’t a 10/10 banger, everyone flips out and hits the panic button on what to change. No other sport does this. The NFL has PLENTY of boring games throughout the season, and you don’t see fans discussing the need to change the rules of the game of football the next day. They accept that boring events are going to inevitably happen, since this isn’t a movie, and they move on hoping for a better show next time. NASCAR fans and pundits need to start adopting this mentality. The idea that the “golden era” of the 90’s didn’t have it’s fair share of “boring” races is a complete myth. Some races are just going to be less entertaining than others, it’s just the way it goes. To be clear, that’s not to say that we should never consider changes (for example I agree that this car needs more horsepower), but in general, we need to as a community stop freaking out anytime there’s a race where there aren’t 70 lead changes and 20 crashes.
Agree completely! Honestly today’s fans would have never lasted in the 90s. The drivers made the 90s what it was, people watched because of the star drivers and rooted for and against the Earnhardt/Gordon rivalry. Nascar has good races for the most part now, now they need star driver’s and more horsepower!!
Dead on buddy! NASCAR fans are so spoiled when it comes to this topic, they are kind of similar to F1 fans every time a driver has a bad race.
Life in general is unpredictable. James 4:13-14.
