Did Denny Hamlin jump the final restart? Should NASCAR have called it? What drivers shined at the second short track race of the season?

Martin should have won!
Agreed
I agree. He had the best car
BUBBA-GATE!
@@rideak492010 The way Larson spun should not have been a caution. He ended up below the line. KB’s wall brush was a BS call too
Larson was sideways on the track..not throwing that flag would be dumb dangerous @@ChadeoYT

NASCAR: consistently inconsistent since 1949
This should be their slogan
exactly. Eric is acting like it’s never taken place before. God, this generaiton is so soft. Grow a pair and move on to the next week.
Nascar Fans : complaining and crying since 1946
@3120DownForce
you’re an npc
Playing favorites since way back
Gotta Love NASCAR’s Inconsistency at its finest
NASCAR blatantly cost the 5 and then the 19 they are a complete joke
Why are the 5 & 19 jokes??
@@3120DownForce He means Nascar not the 5 and 19… just didn’t word it right I don’t think.
@@3120DownForce He’s saying NASCAR’s Officiating is a complete joke
NASCAR: Consistently Inconsistent Since 1948
Anyways, now that I got the negatives off my chest. I attended tonight’s race, and the race was pretty fun. I think that especially in the Next Gen Era, Richmond is a track where it is entertaining in person, but can seem really boring watching it on tv. Glad I got to see it, amid some of the controversy.
I know that almost everyone hates Logano, but if he drove it in deep and punted Hamlin, he’d be a fan favorite for a week.
Fr
As a logano fan, (yes we exist, i just say im a penske fan mostly) and as a disliker of Hamlin i see this as an absolutely better outcome than what happened
@@SoupySuds lol it wouldve made me happy to finally see every fan on loganos side if that happened
I absolutely hate Logano, but out of the possible winners on the last restart, I wanted him to win. At least it’d be a Penske car.
Well, yeah. Just a week though. Let’s not get crazy
I remember the Bristol race you had situations like Carson Hocevar slipping and sliding all over the track, running at pit speeds on the track for multiple laps, and no yellow…But let Kyle Busch slap the wall with nobody close to him? *SLAPS YELLOW BUTTON FURIOUSLY*
@@andrewmeyer4124and as per usual it ruined the entertainment
What I thought. Even Larson’s wreck probably could have been called a no caution since he never hit anything either.
Add Truex to the list of people who became victims of the entertainment caution.
Sadly it’s true.
I mean that was a real caution
@@tylercollier6665 Larson got it back straight and out of harm’s way long before the caution came out.
Everyone in nascar is a victim huh??
Spins at short tracks are almost always cautions. The only caution that could be labeled an entertainment caution was the Kyle Busch one.
As a bowman fan I hate that the caution came out over a wall scrape
Same, we were having a great race, then that caution came out and ruined the race for him.
Barely a scrape. Just added drama by Nascar, to take strategy out of race and mold it into the way they wanted it.
dude fr, running top 3 lap times back in 19th for the whole race
It was BS Alex is gonna win a race he was screwed out of the Daytona 500 he has had winning speed or just barely off strategy to win in like 4 others
That Kyle Busch caution was crazy. That should be just as controversial as Denny Hamlin’s jump. No reason for it. Messed up a good strategy.
Reminded me of watching like a 2010 NASCAR race. Dumbfounding
He apparently knocked decal or something from the wall, so there was debris
It was obvious that the KB caution was not needed because nobody in the booth even knew what the caution was for. Really messed up the race. Imo
He ripped the sign off the wall it was laying on the track
@@mikehoncho3695 I never saw anything on track no reason announced by booth and very quick to hit the button. I would believe that had it been relayed that way. You mentioning it is the first I’ve heard about it. Still very questionable, like was it in the groove or up against the wall still where nobody was racing?
IMO if the commentators genuinely don’t know what happened within 10 seconds, it likely doesn’t need to be a caution, (FOX Camera Fails don’t count)
I was at the race and was so confused when that caution came out
@@mikehoncho3695they threw the yellow so quick, no way they saw the sign on the wall come off.
Seemed like they wanted to get out of Richmond asap and allowed the restart to happen as is. As for Kyle Busch it’s one thing if he couldn’t restart the car or had debris fall from his car but for just brushing the wall? No caution was needed.
I think NASCAR messed up the finish by even calling a caution for Larson because he never spun out all the way and didn’t hit anything . They robbed Truex of that win in my opinion !
Once again, Hamlin gets to keep a win due to nascar not making the right decision
Once again? LOL get over your hate for Denny, it’s pathetic. If it were any other driver there’d be no discussion
How quickly we forget. Hamlin had a race win taken away at Pocono by a lame NASCAR decision.
Pathetic is a perfect word. People will never get over the baby Chace incident at Martinsville. As usual this hate is instigated by lame race announcers giving their opinion. They need to call the race and let the viewers have their own opinions. @@RySpazzin
@@RySpazzinexactly
Uh didn’t they take away a win and outright Disqualify him a year or two ago at Pocono? How’s that factor into your theory, champ?
Even the caution to switch from rain tires to regular tires, shouldn’t have happened. Let the teams and drivers judge when they need to make that strategy call
Corporate dead weight scum ruining the sport and over controlling thing like usual. It’s a dying sport for a reason.
No they need a caution for that
@@jaxonthomas6788 Hell. No.
@@jaxonthomas6788 at this point let’s just move to two 15 laps races per weekend no? Stage cautions are already too much, just how many more fake cautions do you want? Let the racers race ffs
@@Nitlda I know but I think they needed that caution because this is only the second time the cup series has ever done this oval thing you can disagree with me
It’s bad calls like today that lose fans.
