Richmond Raceway over the years has earned a reputation as one of the most dull tracks in all of NASCAR. This past Easter Sunday may have been the breaking point for some who would be on the fence about Richmond Raceway. Is this Richmond’s Breaking Point?

What did you think of the Richmond race? Also, do you think Richmond should only have one date?
Garbage
If you keep two races PLEASE FIX THE CAR
Yeah I feel like they should after that bs Kyle Busch caution and NASCAR just not being smart.
I can’t see anybody leaving the stands for a long first pit.. how do you come up with that?
Richmond can stay put – Remove dates from Phoenix, TMS, Kansas and Vegas
The Richmond race proved why I hate Richmond so much
Don’t be surprised if Martin retires this year
He’s done with NASCAR’s BS
As an MTJ fan I couldn’t be anymore disappointed
Welp Carl knows that feeling
It would be the victory for his late wife, and what Denny “my high school friend was chris-chan” does? Steal and Mock him because NASCAR has his back.
With Joe Gibbs Endorsing it.
If people had doubts about Toyota, JGR or Hamlin being good, that died sunday.
@@YFDM2MOTORSPORTSSame with Jeff Gordon and honestly Kevin Harvick, too. I think NASCAR also drove Tony Stewart to hanging up his helmet as well as Dale Earnhardt Jr.
@@nascarfanatic2425 If you’re up front every week you can put up with a little BS once in a while, but think about the guys who race every week, never see a top 15 finish, cruise around the whole race mid to back of the pack, getting 1,2 3, laps down and never recovering. They have to be iron-willed!
So let me get this straight: Richmond AND Phoenix both have 2 dates while Montreal, Road America, AND Chicagoland are all collecting dust?!?
WHAT A SICK AND EVIL APRIL FOOLS JOKE THAT IS!
Road America is an absolutely incredible track. I was so sad they axed it
We need Daytona RC, RA, and Chicago land or Kentucky that can take that clash out of a football stadium…
Road America is not a good nascar track. Way too long and cautions take 20 minutes.
@@curtcollins6659 Richmond, with 2 dates? WHAT A SICK JOKE !
@@curtcollins6659the xfinity was insane there, the cup was good, idk what you’ve been watching but the racing at road courses are reliant on synchronized spinning.
Race aside, shoutout to Todd Gilliland for staying as consistent as he did throughout the entire race.
He would have gotten a Top 20 had NASCAR enforced The Restart Zone Rule against Hamlin
*staying
@@NASCARFAN93100he would been top 10 if not for the not caution that nascar called
Only benefit for me (an RFK fan) is Denny not wasting another playoff spot, which means that hopefully rfk can lock up a spot. But he definitely jumped like cmon nascar.
No Cars DNFing was nice.
Richmond was beyond dull after the switch from rain tires, it was also seriously dragged down even further by some insanely asinine officiating. Worst race of the season so far and one of the worst races of recent memory.
sounds like every richmond race I have ever watched…
Tire strategy never went away after the switchover.
There are at least 3 to 4 tracks that I think should only have 1 race date, and Richmond is one of them. But I still think that the schedule should have 24 races.
It’s very uncommon to have a race infuriate me. But this certainly did. Race control was just downright terrible
Richmond is overhated but should only have 1 date to give more opportunities for other tracks to he on the schedule.
accurate
add eldora please nascar
Richmond should just have one race and it should go back to being a night race held at its traditional spot in September. It was held on the same weekend for years in September.
That Mavis tire scheme is going to be forever associated with controversial finishes.
Lol .. good point
And an ugly one too.
I just can’t stop thinking of pocono and Larson when I see it
@@mattcardarelli Was that the one where Hamlin was DQ’ed after crossing the finish line first?
@danielfoster3642 no that was 2022
7:08 replace it with either Rockingham or North Wilkesboro
Bring the Rock back
North wilkesboro sucks too with these cars, short track package needs to be fixed. Dirt races were the only good next gen short track races
Rockingham would be better
I would love to see Nascar back at Rockingham.
If I’m Truex I would be raging too. Nascar’s boy Denny knew they weren’t gonna say anything about that restart. They basically let him run the sport
ok to be fair, they did take away Hamlins 2022 Pocono win over a 1mm piece of tape.
To my knowledge Truex is more docile and clean compared to most of the field and that “lash out” is when you push someone like him to the breaking point that we all have… sooooooooooo many BS things happened to rob him of the win and his anger won but his percentile of aggression in the past is so limited to a non factor that I don’t see it as a problem all considered.
I too think there is interior battling at JGR. Pit crew staffing, resources, etc. there’s always more to most strories
The floracing page has the full whelen modfied race, was by far the best race of the weekend. Also every high limit sprint car race in full is on there right now
@@user-ss7xb3bo8tgo to playlists, it says high limit full races. Also a bunch of other full races under “race of the week”
@@user-ss7xb3bo8tgo to playlists, I think it says high limit full races. Also a bunch of other full races under the race of the week playlist
@@user-ss7xb3bo8tthey have them on the high limit full races playlist also other full races under race of the week
@@user-ss7xb3bo8t go to playlists then high limit full races. race of the week playlist also has a bunch
Tons of super late model races too the florence speedway one was awesome. Think it’s on the race of the week playlist
I’ve had enough. See you guys over at Sprint Car races
NASCAR will pull out SMT data to see what Chase Elliott did immediately but didn’t even bother looking at Denny Hamlin’s for the restart. I believe nascar wanted Denny to win because of their affinity with Toyota and it being Denny’s hometown track. That was a Jumped restart all day, if that was iRacing it would have gave him a drive-through penalty.
I’m more upset about the Kyle Busch caution than the early restart. That caution reminded me of the water bottles on track from a decade ago. Like isn’t that why we’re stage racing
I feel for MTJr, that race was his and Denny stole it by jumping the restart.
