Looking back 3 years ago Kaulig Racing was mentioned in the same breath as 23XI, Trackhouse, and other more new age teams. Fast forward to 2024 and at best the team pops up and at worst they can be completely irrelevant. So, what is up with Kaulig Racing?

What do you think Kaulig can do to improve in both Cup and Xfinity?
By selling one or both of their Cup Series charters.
Look who they had driving for them in Cup this past weekend…
Stick to Xfinity racing only for the next 5-7 years then, if profitable, add a driver to the cup series.
Put the majority of the focus on Xfinity for the next decade. Become the largest fish in that pond.
And with a few dozen wins and a couple of Xfinity championships, take some of that momentum to the next level.
Kaulig Racing needs to sell both of there charters and go back to Xfinity.
I hope SVG drives the #16 full time in 2025
I hope he goes to a better team.
He’ll likely go trackhouse if they’re to get the buy the Stewart Haas charters
He’s a 15th to 25th place driver in xfinity why would they?
he needs more than one year before he goes full time in cup
People get excited over his 3rd at Atlanta and 6th at Phoenix but he’s a mid-teens driver every week. Congrats on taking advantage of other driver’s misfortunes at Atlanta and Phoenix (which is part of the game) but he’s not run any significant competitive laps in the top 10 all year outside of COTA.
Who else forgets about Daniel Hemric’s existence this year?
Who?
I forget him so much that i forget the 31 is raceing lol
I don’t even recall seeing him on TV in the past 2 races.
I never heard anything in the season on him
I forgot he wasn’t in the 11 in xfinity still. I was so confused when I saw him in cup points before remembering he was driving in cup.
I did not like the fact that they gave Hemric a cup ride when he hasn’t won more Xfinity series races to move back up.
Tbf to Hemric, the 11 team in Xfinity aren’t on the level of Kaulig’s 16.
@@ic3manyeah at least Hemric won an Xfinity Championship which is good enough proof but winning in a Kaulig car is a very tall task at the moment.
Giving Hemric a cup ride is disrespectful to the sport. Pathetic team all around imo need to get out of Nascar doing shyt like that.
Kaulig’s a weird team. They have good talents, they have solid foundations but they just don’t have an X-Factor like teams such as Buescher is for RFK. They certainly need one big piece.
They have two pieces: SVG and Aj Allmendinger
@@memolestas1017 SVG is more of a lower-series guy right now and AJ just moved back down to Xfinity full-time. Also, in the case of AJ, I’m sorry if I don’t consider a 42-year-old Part-Time Cup driver whose driving Full-Time in Xfinity to be the great solution here.
They should sell their charters
They would be better as Chevy’s development team
This was inevitable. All of last years backmarkers made huge steps forward this year – LMC to Toyota, and Spire and RWR both invested and made ambitious driver signings. Kaulig were kind of the obvious new backmarkers when we knew they couldn’t afford Dinger
Kaulig is obviously struggling in Cup, especially after running 5 different drivers in the 16 car, they’re also struggling a bit in Xfinity. The only way Kaulig can improve is by selling one of their charters to either RFK, Trackhouse or 23XI.
They just don’t have a great driver lineup, a lot of pay guys, and the one solid driver on their roster they somehow can’t find funding for to put him in cup. Hemric isn’t bad but in the best equipment he’s not great, so in mediocre equipment he’s not gonna run well. Ty Dillon will at least bring a car home in one piece but he won’t do much with it in the race. Derek Kraus and Josh Williams have no cup experience so in their starts they have either run decent or had problems. The one thing that team doesn’t have but desperately needs is a cup veteran with some funding, doesn’t even need to be much just something and be a proven cup series driver. Someone like Christopher Bell or William Byron I’m sure could hop into those cars and at least contend for wins, or even a Bubba Wallace or Erik Jones could make those cars look competitive and bring some funding. But I don’t really see many options of that sorts. Justin Haley was a bigger loss than most would think, he’s making Rick Ware cars look good. But if Kaulig could pick up a decent veteran driver with some past wins and funding, I think they could be decent in the future. If they put AJ back full time in cup, he wouldnt be a great long term choice but he’s the best of their current lineup for the job, he can at least get them wins.
Hermic in cup was stupid, Aj going back to Xfinity was stupid, Josh Williams to the 11 car over Derick Kruas was very stupid. It’s the drivers they chose.
Kraus is garbage anyways so does it really make a difference?
They made a mistake with cup. They should have 1 charter with AJ Allmendinger running full time in cup. Losing Justin Haley hurt them more than I think fans and they realized at the time.
Kaulig racing should have kept to the format, of having three cars in Xfinity and having a trophy hunting car with AJ almendinger, in the cup series.
I think Kaulig will do a partnership with trackhouse and SVG in a cupcar next year. Trackhouse said they dont have the staff to admin another fulltime cup car.(although im pretty sure SVGs 16 Cota car was assembled by trackhouse) So probaly another partnership like SVG and 97 xfinity car.
Kaulig should merge with Trackhouse Considering SVG
I don’t think they should do that, but I do think they need to either lease or sell a charter outright to Trackhouse so that that team has a seat available full time for SVG when he goes Cup race either next season or two seasons from now without losing Suarez or Chastain. The money from the leasing or sale of a charter would be a boost, they’d be able to focus on putting their best guys and best efforts in their one chartered car every week and then kinda work to get their Xfinity program back up to being an every week contender.
What’s wrong with Kaulig?
Driver Lineup. Losing Justin Haley. Ty Dillon, Derek Kraus, Josh Williams. Demoting Dinger to be replaced by Hemric.
But at least AJ is good in the 13 on a road course and SVG in the 16 at the Xfinity side
Letting go of AJ Almmendinger as a full time driver was a big fail.
He didn’t do hot as a full time driver last season
Tbh he’s better as an Xfinity regular
@@IanTheMotorsportsMan_YT definitely like Sadler
@@luckynascarcat24 without a doubt! My favorite Nationwide/Xfinity Series! I miss him…
Same with Regan Smith…
@@IanTheMotorsportsMan_YT happy to see Aric Almirola racing Xfinity I hope he goes really far in owners points
I think they need to sell one of their charters that will give them a lot of money that they probably lost expanding too fast. Downsize in cup to one full time driver and figure out a way to get out of the hole that they have dug themselves into.
They never should’ve let Allmendinger as a full time driver go
Losing AJ and Justin Hailey in their cup team really set them back, sure having svg and Aj in xfinity is good for road courses but unlike a few years ago just because you have Almendinger doesn’t mean you’ll automatically win at road courses
Remember from 2020 to late 2021, Kaulig had the Superspeedways figured out??
They were like DEI from the 2000’s
