Chase Elliott has returned to victory lane, taking the checkered flag at Texas. With this many are looking at him differently and with questions. The narrative leading up to this is that Elliott and the 9 team were far off and needed some work to get back to his pre 2023 level. Over the past few weeks though the 2020 champion has climbed up to 4th in the NASCAR Cup Series points standings. Chase Elliott is going to be a problem for your favorite driver.

How many wins do you think Chase Elliott will have in 2024?
3-4
1
3 wins I think.
4 or 5
Hendrick having three #1 drivers is terrifying
What’s up with that 48 team
They’re consistently in the top 10 but they’re quiet
@@Takingyoutojail Honestly being the fourth at Hendrick has its weaknesses
I’ll say this though it’s a lesser problem than it was with Kasey Kahne or Casey Mears for example
The worst car is easily a playoff car
@@JackCallSportsthe worst car is usually a top 12 driver really a top 8 if no bad luck happens. In 2021 all 4 shoukdve been in the round of 8 but a lot of bad luck hurt the 24 and 48
@@timechanger9162 which is way better compared to what it used to be from Hendrick
When they had, Johnson, Gordon, JR, and Khane. I thought it was an unbeatable team. Maybe now they have a team minus Bowman. He’s in the top stuff but not the best. I would like to see him run well and have a whole top 4 team running. Just for Nascar though. I’m not a Hendrick fan. I’m Just a nascar fan.
Chase Elliott is gonna be a problem for chase Elliott?
I’m now watching Elliott more than I was now but keep in mind that Hendrick is one of, if not, the best on the 1.5 mile tracks and he didn’t dominate at Texas like he did in 2022, even if he won when it mattered.
I don’t care about playoffs or points standings right now. I’m just glad to see Elliott and the 9 finally win a race. The best part of him winning was the Kulwicki tribute. That was awesome.
I think Chase and team are definitely in a good space compared to last year. Last year his injury really derailed his season. It’s nice to see Chase and team are themselves again.
I think the improvement in this year compared to last year is black and white
his early race results don’t show how well he’s run this year, his worst race in terms of speed was probably las Vegas where he finished 12th
If he is aggressive like yesterday then the field better watch out. I’ve never seen him that hungry and aggressive.
Chase needs to stay Hungry and Pissed for the rest of the season, when he does watch out for that blue engine number 9.
That #5 will be his Kryptonite every where but the plate tracks.
If he can keep the wheels on his car and out of the wall or the sand barrels at the entrance to pit road.
It’s appropriate and ironic that The Hooters Curse came to an end at the hands of Chase Elliott where he did The Polish Victory Lap paying tribute to The Late Alan Kulwicki who happens to be The Driver who edged out his Father for the 1992 Cup Series Championship
Chase said last week in an interview that he had to change the way he raced this car. He was aggressive and pushy.
As a Chase Elliott fan, he has always terrified my favorite driver
Elliot reminds me of a Saturday night late model driver. Always honest but pretty quiet and just wants to run his race. Everyone who knows him seems to like him
I know William Byron has been hot last season and this season but I still look at Elliot and Larson as the two best at Hendrick and maybe even the whole sport in general. I can’t really explain it. When I watch those two wheel a car around a track and the way they can take corners on the absolute edge, oval or road course is just different. Coupled with the way I’ve watched both of them execute some incredible passes on the sports elite like they were standing still just elevates them to a whole different level to me. They’re the only two drivers who genuinely impress me the most with the way they drive. I could watch them both drive on a track by themselves all day long. I’m so happy to see chase performing like his usual self again.
Smart man saying it respectfully but idk Byron has shown hes more talented as hes won on every type of track in the last 2 years and is very talented but just my opinion
If he races how he did at Texas then he could really be a huge threat.
Chase finally raced aggressive and look what happened he needs to drive like that all the time .
The 5 has roughed up his own teammates for wins (2022 Fontana, etc). Chase will need to be aggressive in this car. It’s just how it is now.
Don’t forget Elliott has 2 victories at each of Talladega and Atlanta! So he has shown he can drive well on superspeedways. In fact, he might be the actual best all-rounded driver on the grid. We’ll see soon how true would that remain being.
I couldn’t agree with you more, Chase is gonna rough up them other boys. Look out he’s gaining momentum
And he is an amazing driver, he does deserve more respect. Don’t forget what he can do. I’m keeping my eye on him. As a fan, I couldn’t be more happy with his evolution
