I hope these charter talks don’t result in a Tony George incident like with IndyCar
Nobody is dumb enough to repeat a mistake like that
@@evannuh-koo-la4054 bro…have you watched since idk….2007ish? lol
@@evannuh-koo-la4054 what happened
@@trailingrails9953 You overestimate how dumb the teams are
Have we heard anything about the Honda agreement yet?
I don’t think so
When Nascar figures out the next gen Engine formula, you’re not going to hear from Honda anytime soon.
It is happening which is why NASCAR is keeping Horsepower the same Honda will have at least 1 car in 2026 or 2027 and I bet it will be a Red bull car.
@Stackbou it’s not happening at all. Just my opinion.
You just made that up.
Time for Steve Phelps to be forced out
Can’t blame everything on Steve Phelps brianc France sr has final say on everything
You can’t blame him on anything He is nothing to do with the charters he isn’t The one making the decisions it’s Jim France
Good luck with that
@@johnhaas2523letting the sport die more by letting a doofus originally from the nfl run it further into obscurity sounds awful for all parties involved
Both Steves are just part of the problem, and Jim France creating a sports car with a stock car body…he ran Grand Am before merging with the American LeMans Series and the old IMSA name was revived. Gen 7 has some great things about it, but the old cars in general were better, and they were safer, I’m not denying they have improved the safety, put this car prematurely ended Kurt Busch career and maimed Alex Bowman and Cody Ware, great racing on 1.5s but road courses and short tracks are suffering.
When Joey says he’s happy he’s passed people, you know Ford has low expectations
Sadly agree
I disagree; I think the teams are in the driver’s seat so to speak. If they stick together and agree to park after a certain date (July 4th ?) then NASCAR will have to judge the likelyhood of the mfgs. hanging with the teams they have invested heavily in. No factory support, means no racing. They really need to do mid-season and not give NASCAR time to line up replacement product!
No one is going to park their cars in protest because they aren’t stupid enough to perform what would be a kamikaze maneuver at best. It’s all posturing just like those exhibition race rumors from the 2022 offseason that everyone forgot about by April 2023 because they were never going to happen.
Eric on Kenny Wallace’s show. Never thought that would happen. This show is really becoming Inside the Groove now.
I don’t think anybody did except for fans asking Kenny on Twitter after Kenny gave a shout out after finding Eric
Estepp Ahead
Get ready for a Monday race. Rain almost guaranteed
Unfortunately so
They got Brad Keselowski who won Dega 6 times, he’s Ford’s lucky shot
It’s brutal this year, just brutal Brad is good I love him. And I love what he’s done with RFK. But the man’s literally going to need to go super Saiyan 3 to pull off a win at this point.
@@existinginaspace8347 gonna require ultra instinct I’m afraid
Joey and Blaney are 3-time Talladega winners, so they are also heavy favorites.
@@existinginaspace8347 well I call him “Bossman Brad” because he now owns a team.
Is Talladega a must win for Ford? Absolutely. Will they pull it off? It’s Talladega, even B.J. McLeod has a chance.
I agree it’s sad how now super speedways seems like the only type of racing they can win. Even Kevin knows since he’s been with them since 2017 and it seems like ford has been going downhill since 2021 after having seasons before 2021
Ford will win their first race at Michigan
That’s oddly specific
@@acedelta12 these things happen from time to time. I’m no expert but maybe after this I will be.
It will be pure chaos cars going every which way and through the middle will drift William Byron to the win.
If Ford does not win this week. I think its gonna be a long year for that manufacturer.
I seem to remember a lot of the commentators in the pre season saying Chev was in trouble because they were the only ones without a new body. Guess they didn’t have a ckue
Just saw you with Kenny Wallace. Awesome job, you are an important voice in NASCAR.
That fact that ford has 0 wins even in trucks and xfinity is crazy
To be honest ford only has like 5 cars in xfinity and trucks
I think the teams want to get away from dealing with sponsors , but that’s not going to happen .
Nope, and less and less big time sponsors want to sponsor 20+ races, let alone full seasons.
Nascar wants to continue to run the sport as a monarchy
Of course Jim France wants the cake the sport back to being run the way it was by his father and brother
The drivers and teams absolutely hold the power. People recognize teams and drivers, without them NASCAR is nothing.
Yeah, this ain’t Bill France Sr’s NASCAR no more.
Congrats Eric. I’m a faithful daily watcher for the last three years. Thank you for your show.
