That hit Erik Jones took would have killed him in 2001. The SAFER barrier saved his life, but it being there incentivized the way they drive that created his wreck. Terrible.
I was at the race I said the same thing looked so much like Dale Earnhardt
Crazy hit I mean that was a massive hit erik took in the corner, slingshot effect there. You hear him on the radio. I need help my back. OMG he definitely has a broken back. hope he gets well, absolutely crazy
That hit would’ve killed anybody 20 years ago. The HANS device and safer barrier saved his life. Massive hit

I hate it for Erik Jones, that wreck looks simular to Dale Earnhardt at Daytona 2001 that killed him. Thank the Good Lord for SAFER barriers.

I actually cried for Erik because not only I was scared for his injury. but He’s one of my favorites too, I hope he recovers well and prayers are on him to feel better

He is out for Sunday at Dover and is week to week. He has a compression fracture in his back.

Yeah man, soon as I saw the 43 hit the wall like that, I instantly thought Dale Earnhardt 2001. Not good. Nascar put in the work to make the sport safer. That’s why jones walked away

That wreck by jones was so scary. That looked so similar the Dale Sr’s wreck. I watched the race live and I remember just being speechless. Thank goodness he walked away from that wreck. Even with a fractured back, could have easily been worse
