The NASCAR Cup Series has made it past the Talladega Superspeedway and is now 10 races into the 2024 season. With that there is a large news dump over the past week from unfortunate injuries to possible teams going the way of the dodo. We break it all down tonight on the NWP and look forward to the upcoming double feature at the Dover Motor Speedway this weekend. And if y'all hit 400 likes we will be back again with the popular "Random Driver of the Week" segment.

How about take stage cautions and pick a random lap right before green flag. Have someone with a camera walk up to maybe a crew member, media member, or maybe a random fan at the track and they pick 2 numbers out of a container. Anywhere from a quarter way through the race to 3 quarters away from the race. Use Talladega as reference Both stage cautions could be over before lap 50. The first stage could be over in 10 laps and the last stage could be over at lap 144. Stage 1 could be over at lap 25 and stage 2 could be over at lap 30. Make stages cautions not count laps. Then teams can’t do the stage stuff because they Don’t know when it’s coming until moments before the the green flag.

I cannot believe you guys were stumped on the weekly driver of the week segment I knew who it was, I knew it was Kenny Irwin, after all I knew he lived in Indy for a while, had success in USAC, won in the Truck Series, I knew he was 3rd in my first Daytona 500 I watched, and of course he was the one of the three drivers who lost their lives in terrible accidents, and his was the reason NASCAR got the killswitch to prevent things like that, and also I knew he drove for both Brad Daugherty, and Brett Farve when they were NASCAR team owners. and also for me I have seen New Castle Motorsports Park in New Castle, Indiana and it was at one time named after him . and the current owner of that go-kart track, also drove a 28 in IndyCar, Mark Dismore is who owns that,.

What makes the John Hunter Nemechek hate even more stupid is that people failed to realize that Erik Jones is his teammate

Any chance you get Elite Precison 29 on here? That guy is insanely underrated and he complains about what the fans have been complaining about for years.

I think the full ads during cautions are good but respectively I think we’ve had less cautions with the next Gen car. So they feel like they have to fit it in somewhere. Unfortunately that’s 5 laps before the end of the stage.

If your Marquee race is a Superspeedway. This has to be fixed. It should not be impossible to pass at full song. Get these cars off the ground. Ride height rules need to come back

PRN > MRN. The MRN mobile interface to listen to the race won’t continuously play with interaction whereas the PRN one does.

1 thing I always wonder when it comes to TV ratings is how accurate the age demographics really are.
When I watch Nascar I use my MIL’s cable log in. So instead of a mid 30’s family watching it thinks a 60+ year old lady is watching. Whereas anytime I watch IndyCar, F1, ect… I am using my log-ins that know I’m mid 30s. Can’t imagine I’m the only 1 that watches like that.
