First, it is spelled Elliott, not Elliot. Favorite personal moment is the first time I met him. It was the Long Horn Steakhouse on Tara Blvd. in November 1985. I was 5 years old and remember it very well. He signed a 4×6 picture that I still have framed. Favorite on-track memory would be beating Wallace for the Championship in 1988. Running Wallace down and passing him at the Brickyard in 2002 is right up there, too.

1985 Talladega, watching it live on TV. Wins after going 2 laps down, no cautions.

Harvick’s 1st win helped to heal the sport in its darkest time, even tho it wasnt a father son deal like Dale Jr and Chase have had.

Can we stop holding chase to his father’s legacy and let him be his own driver. He’s great!

Chase Elliott will never be as good as his dad was.
