I guess that this leaves the 34 open for another prospect. Why not Cole Custer or Riley Herbst? They’re next in the SHR pipeline.
I have the same feeling, but we’ll have to wait and see!
alright with mcdowell’s move to the spire #71, here’s the script:
– zane smith moves in house and drives a third trackhouse car
– trackhouse acquires the stewart haas #41 charter for their third entry
– preece (or someone else) takes over the frm #34
Maybe if SHR moves to Chevy, Briscoe stays with Ford and drives the 34?
I heard in a video yesterday, I forget who it was from, but their is a rumor that Custer could move into the 34 at Front Row. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Preece, Custer, or Herbst take over the ride.
Could Riley Herbst get the 34? He’s already driven for FRM in the 36. That could happen.
Could definitely see a Ford Xfinity driver getting promoted, but time will tell!

Wasn’t expecting this News when i woke up.. im not that Big of a McDowell fan but its gonna be Strange not seeing him in the 34 in 25. Especially since he Build up Front row from being a Start and park team. A team that only contended for Wins on Superspeedways and Was only talked about when they were running in the top 5’s and top 10’s on RC’S to a Potential contender and Two wins. Including a Indy500 and a Daytona 500. Not to mention McDowell outperformed most of his Teammates. Well Granted Matt had health issues and John Hunter was a rookie but still.. big News

Yeah NASCAR silly season just got sillier. With McDowell leaving Front Row for Spire, where does Zane Smith go? He either joins Trackhouse if they buy a 3rd charter but who’ll drive the 34? Maybe Cole Custer, Riley Herbst or hell even Chase Briscoe (If SHR sells 1 or 2 charters and switches to Chevy.)
Hard to see someone take a step backwards.. I felt the same for Justin Haley.. but Haley has still ran pretty well.. so hopefully McDowell can bring some life to the 71 team
When I saw that McDowell was leaving earlier today I called it that he would be moving the the #71 in Spire. Wish I could be kidding but I called it
After harvick retired McDowell became my favorite Ford driver. Seeing him going to a Chevy, I’m happy.
