UPDATE: Since recording this video, The Athletic has reported that teams could be limited to 3 cars under the next charter agreement. JGR and HMS would be allowed to keep their 4 cars. This news would definitely change my FRM prediction if it ends up being real haha.
This doesn’t seem fair at all
This better not happen cutting does not equal growth they already cut down from 5 to 4 cars if they do thats gonna be a bad then teams gonna have to cut employees off probably git rid of drivers this would not be a smart decision
Why would JGR and HMS be allowed to keep 4 cars (yes I know about being grandfathered in to this new agreement)?
Will be curious how ‘satellite ‘ teams like Penske/Wood Brothers will be impacted by the three car limit.
Predicting silly season is like predicting when the world will end, it’s near IMPOSSIBLE lol
Not according to the Christians
This will go down with 2017 and 2020 as the craziest silly season ever.
00:24 to be fair, Trackhouse and Ganassi are closely tied. Jimmie worked for CGR at the time.
Project 91 fit Jimmie Johnson perfectly. Just not the “international” part, which I’m not even sure we knew about at that point.

Remember when tony and shr said they were gonna do big things in the beginning of the year that didn’t age well
“Everyone who doubts us doesn’t know us.”
@@noahcoleman5556 i bet shr tony and gene is regretting about putting this statement out
If Gragson gets booted from Cup again after finally starting to figure it out, I will be so disappointed. Hopefully he ends up with Trackhouse or Front Row.
Trackhouse is *FULL* lol
He’s not going to be getting kicked out of the Cup series
@@johnhaas2523 That’s not what they mean. If SHR collapses, there won’t be a ride for Gragson.
@@Glitchunlocked and he’s gonna find a ride somewhere, guaranteed. The entire narrative around him this year is that him and Blaney (and now RFK) have carried Ford
@@sw120 Cool, he might, or he might not. Narrative doesn’t matter when all the other rides are already taken. Regardless, the person I responded to thought the OP meant “kicked out” and I simply corrected them.
the downfall of SHR really began when ford disallowed tony stewart in getting kyle larson…
Ford (and SHR) weren’t going to get him anyway
Ford COULD win a bidding war against Hendrick, but SHR wouldn’t have
Ridiculous!
Downfall began when Stewart took his ball and went home. Instead of sticking with it and seeing his commitment to his drivers, team, and all the personnel; many that will lose their jobs, he bitched and moaned about how unfair Nascar was and checked out. Good for him that he’s all about drag racing now but really Tony has always been about Tony first.
There are many reasons
lets take his narrative at Face-Value
he was asking for a Cup race at Eldora, said he’d be ok with it, so when they announced they were covering Bristol with dirt he cancelled the deal with NASCAR, which I can imagine really played a factor
he felt stabbed in the back by NASCAR, let down by Ford, so no wonder he has gone MIA, why stay with organizations that you feel have let you down?
I still remember how fast those old Roush cars were back in the day. I’d love to see RFK turn into the powerhouse program I know they can become.
Oh man I cannot wait
You’ve forgotten the most important NASCAR element: the numbers!
Jokes aside, I’m 99% sure somebody will be driving the 4, 10 and 14 cars next year.
Also, the 4th FRM would likely be a 32.
Assuming SHR is no more I could see front row running the 4 or 14 if they secure another charter.
I’m going with the following FRM lineup projection:
4-Berry
14-Briscoe
34-Custer
38-Gilliland
Don’t forget that front row owns the 36
@@nightmarewatcher24 Also don’t forget that FRM owned the 35 in the Gen 6 era.
“Yall forget that Wood Brothers…”
No Eric. We don’t.
Even *Paul Menard* did way better in the 21 than Harrison Burton.
@@zombiedodge1426 Why is Harrison Burton doing so bad? Didn’t he fair ok in the Infinity series?
Noah Gragson could go to the 19 or 3. Both sponsored by Bass Pro Shops. Gragson is associated with BPS.
I think Toyota does not want gragson!
@@miketwotwenty I think he has a legit chance at the 19. If he would had ruined Gibbs’ championship run back in 2022, then maybe a different story now. For the whole fiasco that Noah was involved in off-track, I’m pretty sure he learnt his lesson from that. Noah has matured a lot (at least what he shows to us). Will Toyota give him a chance? I think they would be foolish not too if given the right opportunity. He was with Chevy last year in the 42.
Maybe Harrison Burton might be a good driver for the 84(hopefully it gets rebranded to the 40, a nice Pete Hamilton tribute) and maybe Ryan Preece might just be what the doctor ordered at FRM to replace Todd Gilliland, which I think would make a great fit in the 55.
I met Tony Stewart a few weeks ago and he told me that he doesn’t enjoy NASCAR anymore because of crappy rules and other charter type things and also said that he doesn’t know what his teams future is. That makes me feel like he’s gonna sell his portion of the team
@@johnhaas2523 I asked him about haas and he says he hasn’t heard from him in months
@@Bowmanfan48-88 go figure so Tony is in the dark just as everyone else at SHR go figure and people complain Tony hasn’t said anything to drivers and employees well hard to do if don’t know anything
If Heim goes to Cup, I hope Moffitt goes to the 11 in Trucks
If SHR sells all 4 charters, I think this is how Dale Jr gets into the Cup series. I could see him joining either Daughtery or Kaulig. With that theory he’ll grab Josh Berry and Rodney Childers and go racing on Sunday.
SHR will be the catalyst of silly season, once they announce future plans it will begin the domino effect. There’s going to be alot of surprises that no one saw coming. Drivers, teams, sponsors etc. Fasten your seat belt everyone and expect the unexpected.
Dark horse prediction: Cindric gets moved to the 21 and they bring in briscoe for the 2 car. Austin’s dad running the Indy car side of Penske helps with the seat but I think it would help kickstart with strengthening the satellite teams
Before looking in the comments, I thought this exact thing. How wild would it be that the 2020 best Xfinity driver that didn’t win the championship takes the ride of the Xfinity champion that season that drove for Penske then and still drives for Penske
Austin cindric’s father got fired from the Indycar side of things so idk if he’s gonna be safe anymore
That would actually be pretty cool
I think JRM is going to buy a charter. Something that flies underneath the radar is HMS running that 17 car in the Xfinity series. I think HMS is going to start a full time Xfinity team for their driver development and JRM is going to start a cup team.
Rajah
Plot twist: Andretti Autosport buys SHR and 2 of the charters, sells the other 2. Andretti works with Honda to join NASCAR and Andretti becomes the first and primary Honda team.
My brain is broken in the best possible way.
I know Dale Jr has consistently said he is not interested in going cup racing anytime soon but maybe in the future. I think that with all the SHR charters available that maybe Dale will decide that the future is now. JRM in cup needs to happen, sooner rather than later.
Briscoe, i think deserves a shot with a “real” top teir cup team
