“Did everything we could”. This guy is what holds this sport back.
I was also at the track and it was nearly dried when they called it.
This, right here!
as if “this guy” single-handedly makes all of nascar’s decisions for them
Do you make the decisions?
He’s better than the last guy. Besides, I’m still convinced this was FOX’s fault, not NASCAR’s
Fox pulled the plug
It had to be FOX in my opinion
Fox messed up
I do feel like that would be the only good excuse for NASCAR calling this.
Agreed
Do you have evidence of this? As in actual physical evidence and not just whatever evidence exists in your mind?
As a fan, I would’ve been down to finish this race, no matter what time it was.
races have been held past 1 multiple times no reason we couldn’t have sunday
It wasn’t about the 1:00 It was about ending before 3:00 a.m.
@@johnhaas2523which the sport has done before.
@@johnhaas2523they’ve done it before. they could also have just done it the next day
couldn’t complete this video because of the “humidity”
Surely the comments will be civil!
Fans at the track said it was dry
That’s not what people like Jordan bianchi that was also at the track are saying
@@johnhaas2523there probably forced to say that so they don’t throw fox under the bus
When you sign a contract you have to say (and not say) all kinds of things.
I was there. It was humid, but they made great track drying progress in a short time. Everyone was shocked they called it.
went sunday night absolutely pathetic the way this event ended. Everyone was still at the track after the storm because there was no reason tho think anything else but they were going to get the race back going.
151 laps wasn’t bad at all. 2 am? I was up till 2 anyways. Thanks NASCAR.
I was there and they almost had the track completely dry then they pull the plug. It made no sense at all. Every fan would have loved to see the race continue. Pulling the plug is what isn’t fair to the fans.
There’s people like Jordan bianchi saying differently That was actually at the track and seen the conditions
Nascar didn’t pull the plug, Fox did
@@johnhaas2523 well read all the people in these comments who were there like me and there seems to be a common consensus of the track basically being dry. Would have loved to see the finish. Western conference NBA games end at 1am so Idk why they are so worried about the time especially with a holiday the next day.
@johnhaas2523 maybe listen to the thousands of fans who were there instead of one journalist
@@johnhaas2523I was there it was dry.
Here’s the thing. I was at the track. Humidty didn’t feel or seem present. Humidity is never an issue for Nascar so Idk why it is now. Not only that, the track was dry. Hell the track pretty much dried itself. If y’all were going to call it you should’ve done it the moment lightning hit. Not when the drivers and crew members are heading back to the track getting ready to continue racing. Hell a lot of them were mad once it got called. Even some of Bells crew members were mad.
How is bell crew mad, when there leading?
The temperature dropped 20 degrees or so it felt!!
NASCAR even lying in the video title…
You said you called the race due to HUMIDITY… which is NOT rain.
It did rain and The humidity was a factor in drying the track
@@johnhaas2523it wasn’t humid at all I was there myself
@@johnhaas2523where? On the coastline??? Is that where the humidity was? Not at CMS
The Coca Cola 300 was shocking in that it ended abruptly. Nascar and Fox did a huge disservice to fans, especially those that were not working the next day (most) whom would have enjoyed a full race. Especially with a Larson Wild Card thrown in. Horrible decision that should not be repeated for a premier race.
We usually get a mad dash when rain is imminent and teams expect it to be called. We got nothing like that, restart wasn’t even that contentious
Fox needs to go
Why not just finish it on Monday? They’ve done it before and It’s a holiday most folks were off work.
I say Nascar should fine themself $75,000 for punching us all in the face.
Join me in calling for NASCAR to make “humidity tires” to go along with their two dry track tires and the rain tires.
