I don’t know enough to fine a good opinion but it does seem like silly things like this happen more often than before. I’ve also heard Martin and James arguing in the radio pretty badly at times
I felt that way last year. I think the reason that Truax has not done any better. This year is because of James small and totally agree. He needs to be fired.
it’s kinda funny everyone wants an action packed road course race then everyone complains, imo this was probably one of the best road races in the next gen era
Chastain barely touched him after running him down from 5 sec back. He could have been more aware of the faster car coming and conceded the spot he was bound to lose. Ross was clearly in the preferred line to pass for the corner.
@@jeremyharper3462 Barely touched him? He slammed into the side of his car! That was just as bad as Berry’s incident, the only difference is Chastain is more at fault than Berry was with his incident. Berry was just along for the ride once he got tagged when he tried moving inside. Chastain tried to be aggressive and charge hard to get under Kyle, basically the equivalent of Aaron Rodgers throwing a 60 yard Hail Mary to try to win the football game!
@@brandonreder9869 lol!! Yes. I didn’t stutter. That was very light contact.
It was nothing like what Berry did. Don’t be ridiculous.
He showed him his nose the entire straight leading into the corner, had the inside line and was beside him entering the corner. Kyle could have lifted, knowing he was beat and probably would have finished 6th or 7th.
Thankful NBC is back now. There were literally like six cars that fell out of the race today and I have no idea what even happened to some of those guys.
They don’t even bother updating us. They just like guess… They said Austin Dillon had a down tire, then said he was off to the garage. No other mention.
That was only because he got held up by the Busch. Still finished 5th. Not a bad day.
You notice nobody is complaining about chase doing so either. It’s the last lap. You can use a bumper or fender to pass if you’re close enough. It’s how it’s meant to be done.
@@CJODell12 Also the FOX director: “We just need to put crap on the air between the commercials where we make our real money, it need not be any good.”
The results don’t show it- he finished 33rd- but Justin Haley was wheeling that 51 car up in the top 15 or top 10 once again today up until he had a steering issue that set him off the pace. Just wanted to give kudos to him.
@John-kx3ng You could be right. Now that Brad and the Roush organization as a whole has figured it out over the last 2 years and both Brad and Buesher had been running strong, Brad might stick around longer then he may have been thinking about when they all were struggling.
Clint Bowyer’s race calling has gotten so much better. Today was probably his best work as well. he was, and I never thought I’d say this, fantastic. The coverage, coincidentally, was worse today than I’ve ever seen. Have no clue what happened to 3 DNFs and the last lap chase Elliot passed 4 people and didn’t know how till we saw the top five crawl. They’ve been bad all year, but they must’ve just completely given up today.
Bowyer’s call on what could happen on certain turns in the last laps (in theory) turned out to be exactly what happened. Can’t get any better than that. Does he have a Magic 8 Ball in his pocket?
FOX needs to fire the Live Program Director! No one wants to watch the winning crew jump up and down, we want to watch the race finish as the other drivers cross the line!
To be fair, FOX had to hurry up and get off the race. They had that IMPORTANT UFL conference championship game they had to air. Who cares who finished behind the winner? LOL, that’s what FOX thinks about your precious sport.
Towards the end of the race, Fox went side by side, there was under 10 togo, then when they came back, went to a full-screen with an ad for Harvicks pod cast.
What pissed me off is that during the last laps of an exciting, undecided race, the booth idiots were talking about next weeks race. Are you kidding me?!!! Who cares?!!!

James Small needs to be fired
That’s the last straw for me

Of all the dumbass things he’s done, this was the final straw??? If I was JG he would have never seen this year
such a surface level take. must be a new nascar fan

I survived FOX Sports’s coverage of NASCAR in 2024 and all I got was this….
nothing
Yeet?
Must have missed what you got. There was a commercial
All I got was a commercial…
All I got from FOX was Yota has a new pace car, Joy must be getting a healthy paycheck from Yota, hope it’s in Yen
FOX is infinitely better than NBC. Enjoy having to pay extra to see pre-race, post-race, and qualifying.

Sloppy at times, but overall I agree
The race itself was alright. The start though was an absolute slog to get through, very boring when the first 50 laps is an absolute shitshow.
Good thing they got it sorted out at the end.
Some will find anything to complain about.

Kyle probably had enough gas before the Chastain donut burnout.
