SVG needs to be in cup next year
Sorry to Zane but…
Zane is not a Cup ready driver.
@@billyt9987 hocevar is burton is not ether
@@zackerykoroskenyi2745 only notable thing Burton has done in Cup is become the first to flip the next gen car
@@billyt9987SVG also isn’t. He isn’t gonna do anything outside of the road courses
I’d love to see SVG in Cup full-time next year for Trackhouse! I can see Trackhouse being a 3 car team.
Yea, I thought they are a given to buy one of the SHR charters
Holding out hope they find room for SVG and Zane, but we’ll see!
Hope they bring back the 97, Carl and Kurt have hanged out with the Trackhouse guys so it would be freaking epic to see a throwback to them some day..
I think Shane will drive the 16 full-time.
@@EricEstepphe’s a road course ringer he will be a 25th place car every other week.
shane van gisbergen taunting austin hill with his burnout celebration alone is enough to warrant him a full time cup ride imo lol
There’s a photo floating around with Austin hill giving him the finger while svg is full send drift behind him…svg for the win of many nascar fans!
While drifting… That wasn’t just a burnout lol
Hahaha Agreed!!!!
@@dalowrydaI saw that. I want to get a print of it, have SVG autograph it, then see if I can get Austin Hill to sign it.
I feel for Zane Smith, but when I look at the situation, I am definitely putting SVG in the third car. He brings more sponsorship and more popularity, has a chance of winning early in his career and making the playoffs.
I’m located in Germany so I could be wrong. But I have the feeling the most discussed and popular Trackhouse pilot is not in the Cup, he is in Xfinity. That could help him to get the 3rd seat in a Trackhouse car
Eric, you should consider shaving the beard and doing a playoffs mustache if Chris Buescher brings the 17 back to victory lane
There was also an argument between Ryan Sieg and Parker Retzlaff on pit road after the race. Xfinity guys were all ready to murder each other lol
Out Of The Groove is my Race Hub
Yessir!
Absolutely
Eric put 100 people out of work at Fox. What a badazz…
@@StevenP727I definitely agree go Eric

Biggest reason why I’m sold on SVG especially over Zane Smith is that he brings the car home. Phoenix for example, a huge crash happens at the front of the field SVG and Hailey Deegan (both rookies running around 20th) have to go through the wreck. Deegan never lifts and has a ton of damage while Van Gisbergen saw the wreck coming before it happened and slowed down. He had some damage (because of Deegan never lifting) but it was minimal and came home 6th. Zane on the other hand has ran into crashes that every other driver avoided while the wrecking car was in the top 10 and he was in the 30s. Yes he had gotten better, but try to see if he can run next season with Kaulig in cup or Xfinity. That’s probably Trackhouses best bet
Give you a tip about svg, he’s a thinking mans driver, he’s from downunder, you aint seen the downunder mongrel come out, feel sorry for the 1st driver to ruff him to much, just saying,
Shane has so much awareness of what’s happening around him that he’s really able to work through and get past situations that most drivers can’t. And it has really shown in his results. Only DNF so far was because of a blown engine. And that’s through like three plate races as a rookie who’s never raced on ovals. Come on that’s just not fair. Lol
Im not sold
Something people aren’t thinking of with svg is that the cup car is much closer to the v8 supercar than the Xfinity car is. So in theory he’d probably be better on ovals in cup than in Xfinity since he’s more likely to understand the car
No. Just no.
@@Marko137-em8nx “in theory”
We’ll see, and if he doesn’t it will be entertaining to watch the Van Cheeseburger fanbois try to explain it away. SVG is highly likeable, his fans are not.
@@TheSaturnV why im a fan and not dissing anyone , he has room for improvement, but so do 25 other cup racers
stats might be wrong
cory lajoie 255 races no wins
ryan reece 167 races no wins
daniel hemric 63 races no wins
todd gililand 88 races no wins
ty gibbs 67 races no wins
so he is doing ok B+ room for improvement
We need more likable drivers like SVG his personality and attitude just shines out of him.
His fans are trash and toxic
SVG racing IQ is very high. He’s got half a regular season on ovals with respectable results. His second time around will show improvement without a doubt. His desire and work ethic will make him a contender on any type of track.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a win on an oval before the season is over. Maybe not so much on a short track (yet), but definitely on a mile-and-a-half or superspeedway.
SVG taunting hill was awesome
SVG is having a respectable first full season in a stock car
2 wins
9 top 15s
10th in non playoffs points
Thats pretty respectable in my opinion
Not even halfway through yet and that’s not a bad rookie haul for a full season
I love SVG and can’t wait to see what he does the rest of his career in America, but I think it’s pretty silly to overreact and say he’s ready for Cup because he won two Xfinity road races. Allmendinger is the perfect comparison, he was tearing it up on road courses but still struggled to hang in Cup. And I’m sorry Eric but since when does finishing in the top 20 on ovals in Xfinity mean you’re ready to go full-time Cup racing?
Just to clarify, if it were up to me, I’d put him in Cup immediately. Which I know may sound hypocritical but hear me out- Alonso wasn’t forced to run Indy Lights before he ran the 500, Montoya didn’t have to prove himself in the Busch series before jumping to Cup. Superstars from other series kind of get a free pass, and I like that. If anything, running a full series in Xfinity just makes SVG look humble. So stop trying to justify it with his Xfinity stats, that’s silly, No regular driver with those stats would have anyone looking at them to go to cup.
Not good enough for cup yet
@@ayrton42 Agreed, but that’s kind of how the media hypers have devolved. If someone in the cup series wins just one race all the media morons start clickety-clacking out stores about how this driver must now be considered the front runner for the championship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@TheSaturnV Harrison Burton had 10 top 10s in his first 10 starts his rookie Xfinity season, and look how he’s doing. SVG has ONE normal oval top 10 so far. Crazy to say his stats prove he’s cup ready.
Austin hill punts SVG at COTA
SVG: “So, you have chosen death…”
Feel the burn! Mr Hill lol
I laughed my butt off when SVG lit the tires up on top of Austin Hill!! No one deserves it more. Austin Hill has no problem moving/crashing anyone he can’t pass cleanly but cries, whines, or wants to fight anyone that barely touches him during a pass. Also I wish you would do a video talking more in depth about Ty Gibb’s temper tantrum that destroyed his own car and nearly took his “teammate” out of the race. I used quotations because I don’t think Ty see anyone as his teammate.
If you notice though he made 0 attempts to try and fight the kiwi or say anything unbecoming of him. He’s at least smart enough to know not to fight or argue with a former rugby player lolol
Big Country will be in the 21 forever it’s the only competitive ride that’ll put up with him,his attitude and funding won’t let him progress any further. With drivers like Love(talent) Sammy Smith (funding), RCR will not look at Hill first. Yes, I’m saying a lot and might get punched, but oh well.
Maybe Hill deserved it, but it was an unsportsmanlike and petty move.
SVG is the perfect example of “race me how you wanna be raced” to Austin Hill
Definitely SVG is what NASCAR needs
@@ajpaz7697I don’t want him cup I want chase win few road course lol
@@JeffWeselyan
Motor racing is mostly about the car, unless a driver is more than a second quicker than those in the better cars.
Wasn’t they even after cota? Now Austin will have to race him the same again.
Honestly just found this channel… the quality and interest from Eric is so addictive! 10000% subbing for my nascar news 🙂
Me too
SVG’s burnout beside hill is gonna be a moment that goes in the books for sure.
The more I look at the SVG and Austin Hill incident. The more it looks like Austin Hill just kept turning in as if SVG wasnt there.
SVG taunting Hill with his track long victory burnout was legendary. And I would love to see Shane in Cup full-time with Trackhouse next year, likely bring his former V8 Supercars number 97 with him as he’s done in Xfinity
