I saw Martin win at Dover last year. 2017 Cup Series Champion. 2004 and 2005 Busch Series champion
That was my first race. Sucks to see him go.
34 wins in cup. 2x 600 winner, southern 500 winner. As an interesting sense, 4 Sonoma wins. Hall of fame career for sure.
man… there goes my weekly radioactive soap opera with truex radio bantering with james small…
Kind of reminds me of Valterri Bottas with James at Mercedes
James: Try the starter motor
MTJ: I am James
Man, there goes radioactive
You got that right haha @@codileger4876
@@tomhoblin4571Is there even going to be a radioactive with Race Hub ending?
@@codileger4876 Ferrari: We are checking.
Figures that all the big news stories come out right after Race Hub’s finale. Have fun fishing in retirement Truex.
I hope he wins another race, if he actually is retiring it would suck if I saw him in Richmond get so close to a win and not actually winning in his last season
I’m gonna laugh if the report is somehow wrong and Truex is coming back for one more year.
*pulls a Tom Brady*
I’m holding out hope that he’s announcing his retirement… with the caveat that next year will be his last haha.
@@coatedtrout4833speaking of which, how many crown jewels has Truex won exactly, I mean I know he won the 600 in dominating fashion but I can’t remember any other crown jewels he’s won
@xavierjuno4572 Southern 500 that same year.
He’s jgrs legend and furniture row racing.
Martin Truex JR he can walk away with his head held high and be proud of accomplishments he made to the sport.
Despite MTJ’s age, pound for pound, he’s still a better driver than most of the rookies/sophomore drivers in the cup series…
I definitely agree
He should have a couple wins this season he is still in top 5 best drivers racing
Honestly sad that a bunch of bums who are only in cup because of money are guaranteed to keep their rides while more talented drivers are left to rot in the lower leagues.
@@GatoradeCupSeriesX94 who are these bums Zane smith, Harrison Burton, Austin Dillion, Corey Lajoe? Those are your regulars 30th back In points
@@GatoradeCupSeriesX94 then u got Preece in 29th In points who is losing his job Hemeric 28th In points then Ricky steinhouse jr and Eric jones I consider those guys all bums
As a huge MTJ fan, best way I can say it is, I’m not surprised, but I am disappointed.
And by golly, I hope he goes on a tear during the rest of the season and goes out on top.
A MTJ championship in his last season would be a great way to end.
Aa a NJ native i started watching nascar and going to races because of MTJ. Gonna miss this dude. All the best Martin.
MTJ’s run with Furniture Row Racing was one of the best runs in the history of NASCAR. I think he mentally checked out
And what makes it even more amazing is that he landed there after losing his MWR ride through no fault of his own
Noah has a 0% chance of going to JGR, he and Ty Gibbs HATE each other, they will never be teammates. The Berry and Childers duo is also not likely since JGR focuses more on the single sponsorship seasons rather than the 10 different sponsors throughout the year strategy, and unfortunately, I don’t think Berry would be able to find one big main sponsor. Briscoe, at first, doesn’t seem realistic, until I thought of a few factors. The main, and most important factor is that Mahindra money. Briscoe has that one big main sponsor he can bring that over to JGR and satify the sponsorship strategy that JGR is known for. Also, Tony Stewart. I know that Stewart isn’t involved in NASCAR really at all, but let’s not forget Stewart won 2 championships for Gibbs, drove for him for years, has a good relationship with Joe still and Briscoe has been Tony’s protege. Eric, I think you’re right on the money that Briscoe will get that 19 seat.
MTJ will be able to hunt & fish everyday of his life with the money he made in the last 2 years of his “indecision”.i wish him the best.the man has class rarely seen in nascar nowdays.
Honestly MTJ getting a “walk off” championship would be amazing
Martin Truex Jr. is a definite Hall of Famer who will be widely missed among the Cup personalities. My prediction for his replacement: Ryan Truex. Might not be realistic, but it is a prediction.
Truex is like a tale of two careers. From Xfinity champ to looking like his career was over after MWR fell apart to one of the most epic career resurgences in sports history. He can definitely walk away with no regrets at this point.
As a huge truex fan, I’m so sad to see him leave, but I’m glad that he’s not spending extra years falling away.
