Who knew we’d be discussing Justin Haley as a top prospect for moving to a top team at this time. Incredible job by Haley at RWR. I wonder if he’ll be able to get RWR their first top 5 sometime this year.

I believe it happens. Will be awesome to watch, like truex jr and furniture row 2014-2015

Justin Haley fully committing to RWR makes sense, he’s doing a fantastic job and he’s carrying the team the same way Michael McDowell carried FRM for years from backmarkers to race winners and consistently finishing races in the top 20 and top 10.

And with SHR leaving you know ford is going to give RWR better equipment and tech .

I think if he were to leave, it’d be to RFK. He’s doing great with his new surroundings, and I don’t see him leaving

Just because you are carrying a team doesn’t mean you should stay with that team. It might even mean you should leave that team because they are probably holding you back

He was wrong for what he said. That doesn’t sound very committed to me. Yeah I’d go back to 2 teams that I previously drove for. That sounds pretty bad. Theres about 10 different ways that he could have answered that question and he chose the worst possible answer

Reply
@roddyk2655 June 19, 2024 at 9:56 pm

Exactly, if he’d answered the question and said “RCR is the greatest team in racing and I’m staying here for the rest of my career no matter what.” Everybody, Kevin Harvick included, would be saying “Well, what if JGR or HMS called? KB is a Champion and he needs to keep his options open, that’ll keep RCR on their toes trying to build racing cars for him… blah blah blah…” or some other BS…

Media has to have something to make a story out of…cause things haven’t gone great and have had some bad luck…but let’s dig for anything so we can talk about something.

It’s nice to hear Justin Haley sounding committed to RWR, but lets not forget we all believed Haley was committed to Kaulig not too long ago… and look how that turned out.

My prediction is Haley is waiting for a spot to open at RFK, be it a new charter or holding out with RWR until Brad retires if he wants to stick with the “multi-year” option.

@mikekaylor1226 June 19, 2024 at 9:26 pm

I’m very impressed by Justin Haley, and I admire his commitment. Rick Ware seems to be on the way up, opposite of many teams going in the other direction. I’m sure Ford has a say with Rick Ware, and they surely would like to keep him in the fold.

@provicate4334 June 19, 2024 at 9:30 pm

I mean, if you want honesty I think 85% of the garage would say they want to go to Hendrick or JGR to be in their equipment over RCR.

Oh I’m sure most drivers THINK that, but it’s usually frowned upon if you SAY it out loud haha

@@EricEstepp So Kyle gets the award for honesty and transparency. Plus he has the gifts to back it up. RCR is so close to good. They just need a Keslowski type to run the business.

I think he knew there was a good chance they were going to bring in someone with more sponsorship, so he jumped at the RWR opportunity when they gave him a chance.

Everyone is overacting to KFB comments. You’d be dumb not to want a Hendrick or JGR seat, even if you were there previous. He was asked a question, and answered.

Those comments he made shows a level of loyalty and character that’s incredibly hard to come by. No better way to grow a smaller team than to have a committed driver who’s on board in the process

Justin Haley has swiftly become one of my favorite drivers to root for each week. He’s made the most of this second chance Rick Ware has given him, and has continued to improve throughout the season. It’s awesome seeing an underdog running alongside the titans of the sport, and I wish him nothin but the best in the future. Get ‘em 51!
