Chase bresce got a lot more offers than I thought.
That’s what happens when you’re a good driver.
Ah yes, Chase Bresce. My favorite driver!
I mean he is an outstanding young driver with lots of potential, im not suprised
Fr
Chase breezy breesh
Rcr needs to get Dillon out of the car 10 years now if running 30th every week
@@Alloyman6419I definitely agree with you
He’s only in the 3 car because of his grandpa.
I think that RC is just as much a part of the problem as Austin Dillon. RC is living and running his team in the past and look how mediocre the entire team is.
@@linhunnicutt6556 true
I think the most telling part of Chase’s quote is that Truex had a hard deadline to make a decision this year. Makes me think that maybe, possibly, he had some help making that decision.
As far as Petree and RCR goes, that was a much needed change. I wouldn’t be surprised if the 3 car opens up in a year or two and Austin moves up to a leadership role. He’s not as awful as a driver as people think, but something tells me he’ll be a lot better on top of a pit box.
With this amount of drivers available, I understand JGR not wanting Truex to wait a couple months longer with his decision like last year.
Remember – he was not offered a Penske seat! It was between Woodbrothers and JGR… No brainer he took JGR
As bad or mediocre Austin Dillon is, he’s achieved way more than his old man.
100% martin was forced to make his decision on coaches time… But I firmly believe it was still his choice… He was just forced to choose.
@@bartverheijen478well Martin is getting up there in years and who knows how many years he’s got in him so yeah I can see why JGR doesn’t want another Bobby Labonte situation
RCR needs too go shopping over at SHR for some depth
TALENT!!!!! Replace the wanna be and the has been with a gonna be or IS!!!
They need to go shopping for some new talent in the shop.
@@billb412They have Austin Hill and Jesse Love there. Which i think they’re the hottest prospects aside from Corey Heim
First thing would be finding someone to replace Rodden lol
@@ilackedtheheartseriously with his stats, how does the man keep finding work?
You gotta admit, RCR has had some terrible luck. They always seem to get caught up in someone elses mess… but i guess that’s what happens when youre constantly running toward the back
RCR needs to give Rodney Childers a blank check & make him competition director.
Yes I was going to say Rodney Childress
I”m pretty sure he’s gonna be crew chief for Berry. It seems they’re a package deal, but I wouldn’t hate seeing Berry at RCR either. I feel like he and Busch would get along quite well.
I’m not sure he wants that job
@@nomadman5288It sounds like they don’t know if going to happen
From how Childers has been speaking I think he wants to stay as crew chief for Berry where ever he ends up. If he can’t I could just see him retire instead.
I’m as big a Ford guy as anyone but unless you have some kind of deeper attachment to the Blue Oval there’s no one in their right mind turning down JGR for the Wood Brothers.
I am a diehard Ford fan – I would turn down JGR all day long to go with another Ford. I think Chase will regret his decision…
Bass pro said otherwise@@rockandroll4689
The Wood Brothers isnt a Penske car anymore. Ever since Blaney left to go in house, the Wood Brothers has consistently been behind all the Penske cars. They’re like what RWR is to Roush
@@rockandroll4689 I agree it’s not that the Wood Brothers aren’t a decent team it’s their driver.
@@rockandroll4689which car has won more in the last 5 years, the 21 or the 19? You’re delusional he isn’t regretting anything. He just signed with the 2nd most powerful team in the sport behind Hendrick
If Austin does retire then at the very least he’s had a decent Cup career winning 4 times with two being a crown jewel wins plus his winless championship in the Xfinity Series along with his Truck Series championship.
I really hope this change makes RCR better
I doubt it
it’s not it’s going to be worse
…if it does not, we may never see Kyle Bush being Kyle Bush again, and that would suck !!
Personally I think Berry and Childers would be a better fit at RCR if they want to find speed in the cars. Noah will probably get the seat because of Bass Pro but yes it’s time for Silver spoon to hang up the helmet.
Honestly if Busch wants out as much as he’s making it seem I think you buy him out too. Maybe that’s how they end up with Noah and Berry/ Childers.
Berry, Childers and the entire 4 crew should move to the Wood Brothers. They need to clean house after years of preforming worse than their equipment.
Everybody on the 21 is Penske
No question, the entire team is a mess. Harrison hasn’t been setting the world on fire, but there’s absolutely more going on behind the scenes holding the team back.
This is what I’ve been thinking! That would make the most sense to keep everyone together
Berry and Childers together is so awesome. Listening to them on the radio last week at new hampsire at the end there had me sold that they are the duo package.
I’m inclined to think things are a lot more complicated over there than we realize. Harrison’s record suggests that he should at least be hanging out in the middle of the field in fair to middling equipment, not consistently bringing up the rear.
Briscoe wanted to take the reverse career path of his hero Stewart haha. Going from SHR to JGR.
Indy 500 in the future?
My thought exactly
Tony left bc he was unhappy with JGR going to Toyota
Still remember the All Star Race when Kyle Busch said to Stenhouse Jr. that “I suck just as bad as you” right in front of Andy Petree. It’s likely Kyle’s comments and their recent poor performance at New Hampshire played into Andy’s decision to step down.
Exactly!!! You make KB feel that he sucks like Ricky, that’s crazy!! And you expect him to respect you?? (Referencing Bush saying he is open to any offers from other teams)
I think everyone is forgetting that there is another charter potentially available. If the 15 finishes bottom three this year, NASCAR could revoke that charter, thus giving another opportunity for RCR, RFK, Trackhouse, or 23XI to expand
Eric can is this Out of the Crowd worthy?
Choosing the 19 over the 21 is probably the easiest decision any driver with multiple offers has ever had.
I mean can you blame the guy, the 19 is part of the JGR stable whereas the 21 is more like a satellite team at this point imo
Idk… Blaney was able to make quite a bit of hay in that 21. Burton is their main issue. They get everything from Penske.
@@brianmurray7980 True but then again they might not have the same preparations or data like Penske
@@xavierjuno4572 the cars are built and prepared in the Penske shop. The 21 has a stall right next to the 22.
@@brianmurray7980 I’d say until we see a driver last more than three years at Wood Bros, and start being competitive on a similar level to Penske or other big teams, it will always be considered a satellite team. It’s even used like a typical satellite team. Roger Penske put Blaney there until he decided to bite the bullet and added a third car. Cindric was going to go through the same process until the 2 opened up. It’s basically just a place where drivers sit and wait for a better ride. But I do wish Wood Brothers could find a long-term, great driver that puts them in a good spot, but I just think any good talent they get will just be taken by another team.
With the way Andy P treated Sheldon Creed last year…. Couldn’t be happier to see this happen to that guy.
Creed was the problem he’s an Ahole major
Richard Childress didn’t have a great career as a driver, but he excelled as a team owner. Maybe that’s the key. Kick Dillon upstairs, put Gragson in the 8, and build the 3 team around Kyle Busch. I want to see Busch/RCR work out.
Eric, your ability to convey the richness of these storylines in such a watchable, entertaining and professional way is truly second to none. You’ve deepened mine, and I’m sure many others’ appreciation for the sport. Thanks for your talent and constant hard work!
Berry + Childers to Wood Brothers would make great sense. And hopefully the can finally get their 100th win.
