I get no one likes to see races end under yellow neither do I. But that was ridiculous.

I say 3 overtimes then if caution comes out on the 3rd attempt NASCAR freezes the field in what position there is simple

I agree with that!

Yep, this is supposed to be the best stock car series, not a bunch of rich kids and old farts 10 laps down!

How about Kyle Busch being put back in 4th place after wrecking and all the cars going by?

Reply
@TheOfficialRandomGuy July 1, 2024 at 9:48 pm

I agree, but he didn’t wreck.

Get rid of overtime and stage cautions altogether.

Reply
@rebelsoul5980 July 1, 2024 at 8:46 pm

Stages are not a big deal, the elimination rounds in the playoffs need to go!! 10 races for the playoffs and no elimination rounds. 2 OT’s and that is it!

@@rebelsoul5980 I’m fine with stages. I just think the cautions should go.

Until 2014 they used to be zero overtime. When I started following NASCAR in 1965 through about 2014 if the race ended in caution and went the length of the established lapse, that was the end of the race and frankly I’d like to see it go back to that. I hate the stages and I hate the overtime so get rid of the stages and get rid of any of the overtime and if it finishes under caution like other series, so be it.

They were going for the win, you gotta do what you gotta do… I was on the edge of my seat, and Joey Logano won!!! Great race!!!

Fax… my eyes were glued on the screen the entire time. I get 5 overtimes is ridiculous but man was it entertaining

Lose stage cautions, keep overtime

Honestly lose both of those…

The NASCAR community demands an explanation into why Kyle Busch got to restart 4th after being in a wreck.

Reply
@bryceshoemaker9427 July 2, 2024 at 3:26 am

Probably the same reason why chase Elliot got all his positions back earlier in the race after actually wrecking

Reply
@Tomsbananacakes July 1, 2024 at 11:01 pm

The solution is simple. Go back to single file restarts for overtime. That way you don’t keep having wreck after wreck because of too many cars bunched up together late in the race.

This is why Kyle Petty is the man! He’s actually got the balls to tell it how it is!

Kyle Petty, I am surprised with that answer. What’s wrong with blocking don’t you have to win and protect your position? Everything’s on the line.

@outlander330cc July 2, 2024 at 2:26 am

KP is way off. You can’t penalize blocking, it’s too hard to determine what was a block and what wasn’t.

Reply
@sonofagroove July 2, 2024 at 7:09 am

Kyle forgets what leading a race is like, which tbf is understandable.

@user-jf4nj3ez2k July 2, 2024 at 4:05 am

Get rid of limited horsepower at all tracks except Daytona and Talladega.. would solve alot of the problems.

Reply
@Sighlense July 2, 2024 at 2:31 pm

You’re wrong. Blocking is racing(to the extent you don’t wreck someone in doing so). And fans don’t watch the sport to see the race end under a caution OR a rain delay, unless of course it is absolutely unavoidable.

I will say the overtime’s made the end very interesting
