Hocevar ain’t going to bigger rides with that attitude
To be fair, we’ve seen guys like Gibbs can calm themselves down once they get some Cup experience, so hopefully Hocevar can do the same. Because his flashes of speed have been pretty fun to watch!
Carson needs to calm down if he wants to keep a spot in the cup series. He can’t be acting like how he did in the truck series, that stuff doesn’t fly in the cup series.
He should’ve been penalized in the truck series for as many times as he Wright hooked people into the wall. I hope this is a wake up call to him, and if it continues, he will not have a career in the cup series, like you well stated, it won’t be tolerated in cup.
Can’t wait to see what Berry’s gonna do in the 4th Penske car… Also, insult to injury with Burton with the Hocebar incident… Rip his Cup Series career.
Josh berry to the 21 is imp a good move, hope they could bring Rodney into the team somehow
The Hocevar penalty is completely justified, wrecking somebody under caution is unnacceptable and Carson needs to get himself under control before something bigger happens that completely ruins his career
Fines and penalties means nothing. Especially for a repeat offender like Carson
@@IanTheMotorsportsMan_YT I just hope he realizes that he needs to drive smarter, because he has a lot of talent and I don’t want him to overshadow it with his reputation
@@CCSRacing1808 it’s been 2-3 years. Sure you can say he’s got plenty of time. But at the same time, he’s on a dangerous race car and racing is a dangerous sport and he’s treating it like a video game.
Okay, that might be kind of an exaggeration. But my point is that Carson really needs to mature. He should’ve stopped being a bully and wrecking ball after antics after antics after antics. He’s in a big league, now.
I’m tired of seeing Carson be so reckless. I’m tired of his fans defending his antics. I’m tired of NASCAR giving him such a soft penalty since he’s gonna do it again. I’m tired of all the bad stuff he’s still doing to make himself look bad. Nobody wants to see bad things overshadow talent, but he’s still choosing to make those decisions. That’s his own fault. He can blame victim all he wants, but that’s just how it is.
I’d like to see Carson mature. I’d like to respect Carson again, but he doesn’t respect himself on track and treats it like a video game.
The only way Carson will change for the better is if he gets a harsher penalty or someone shows up who’s the bigger man big toke to the point he’s like “oh crap, I gotta get my act together”. He’s more a repeat offender than a driver with the way he behaves.
Carson won’t change until drivers get tired of his antics and retaliate. Unfortunately, the guy who retaliates normally gets the bigger penalty than the guy who instigates the whole thing
@@IanTheMotorsportsMan_YT Carson Hocevar is 21 years old. He is the youngest Cup Series driver currently out there.
As a newer fan, I think the problem for me is that I’ve only ever seen the 21 car with Burton (and a few races with DiBennidetto that weren’t exactly memorable), while I’ve only ever seen Front Row Motorsports on their rise (after McDowell’s Daytona 500 win). So for me, it’s hard to believe that the Wood Brothers will be a better team than FRM – at least long term. Then again, we don’t know for sure if FRM was really pursuing Berry.
Back with Blaney WBR was a really good team. Top 15-10 every race in 2017. Even with Menard the 21 was always in playoff talks. But yeah, the past 3 years have made the 21 near forgettable
@@Patrick_Star_-qb2tt I guess the question then is, was the falling-off pretty much all on Burton, and they’ll be able to bounce back with Berry? or is there also something with the quality of equipment/ the car itself?
Same, I didn’t even know the name wood brothers until this year lol back marker team
@@zarejonathanthis
@@zarejonathan A lot of it is on Burton, some of it falls on the team. The Wood Brothers have swapped out a lot of personal over the last few years in their quest for relevancy which ended up leading to more performance issues. This switch is needed, because even if Burton is a Cup talent, it’s obviously not working out between him and the team.
so much for keeping rodney childers and josh berry together… at least wood bros might be competitive again lol
I want to see Josh Berry do good in cup next year, and maybe finally get win 100 for the wood bros
@@shaneharrisnj3484huh? The 21 car isn’t even touched by wood brothers employees until it gets loaded on the hauler. Wood brothers cars are made, and serviced by penske, they are put by Penske pit crews, the crew chief came from Penske. The 21 car is all but name a Penske car. They don’t do things the “old-fashioned way” in the slightest.
if not Bullins has to go
Should’ve replaced Bowman with Berry
Hocevar’s penalty, contrary to what some people will say, is actually consistent with what William Byron’s original penalty was after Texas in 2022.
That’s exactly what the host said.
comparing Berry with Hocevar is like comparing finest champagne with dirty dishwater. Berry drives like hes 35 Yrs old veteran, while Hocevar drives like hes a teenager with no impulse control.
Do you see Berry at road courses ??
If Rodney Childers was the crew chief of the WB 21 for Josh Berry, I would probably believe you and say, “yeah this team is gonna contend for the playoffs next year.” With Jeremy Bullins as the most likely crew chief next year, I honestly don’t know. He’s been the crew chief of the #21 before, and we’ve seen good drivers like Dibenedetto and heck even Paul Menard do pretty well. I guess we’ll wait and see for next year, but I’m gonna be optomistic about this team.
Hokervan out here right rearing cup series cars like he’s still 13 years old in an Iracing lobby. It’s madness I say
I REALLY want the wood brothers, the oldest team in the nascar cup series, to get their well earned 100th win, and maybe even compete for their first championship. I just hope that this doesn’t backfire.
I’d LOVE to see the Wood Brothers competitive again! They haven’t been a winning team since the ’70’s if we wanna be honest.
Blaney got them to the round of 8 one year. But outside of that, yeah no bueno
They haven’t been a consistent team since they fired David Pearson in 1979. I think that was one of their biggest mistakes because he was a proven winner at any style of track.
Ryan Blaney: Am I joke to you?
Trevor Bayne: I got them a Daytona 500.
I have to say looking back the wood brothers long term plan with Harrison Burton, failed very bad. I’d love to here what has been going wrong and what the excuse is for the long term project not panning out. Still feel that DiBenedetto should have been in this car the past 3 years.
Harrison could pull a John Hunter Nemececk
Dale Inman really liked Hocevar when he was in the 42 last year. I hope to see him get a real shot. If Mr Inman is impressed by him then there is something there.
Family is held in high regard throughout the garage… Thats why guys like SVG can come in and dominate his first race. Bunch of Harrison Burton types all over NASCAR
I could see Bullins moving to a leadership role and Childers being the crew chief (or vice versa)
I’m a Josh Berry fan. He is a racers racer. There is no nepotism, no daddy money just plain old dirt under your fingernails working your way up with pure talent and skill.
lmao
Why does that matter to you? Family connections are everywhere in the real world.
Harrison Burton was rushed to Cup. The only reason he was put into the 21 car is because Austin Cindric got put into the 2 car a year early. If he got 2 to 4 more seasons in a Xfinity ride, he would probably have had a better showing in a Cup car.
